What sadness fills my heart as I write this blog…
The Lord has been showing me what it means that some will not be willing to come…
I remember reading a prophecy from Tommy Hicks about the giant (http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~revival/hicks.html) and his vision of the end time Church and there was one poignant part where the liquid light anointing was extended to some and they just bowed their heads and retreated into darkness…
I do not know how long I watched it. It seemed it went into days
and weeks and months. And I beheld this Christ as he continued to
stretch forth his hand; but there was a tragedy. There were many
people as he stretched forth his hand that refused the anointing
of God and the call of God. I saw men and women that I knew. Peo-
ple that I felt would certainly receive the call of God. But as
he stretched forth his hand toward this one and toward that one,
they simply bowed their head and began to back away. And each of
those that seemed to bow down and back away, seemed to go into
darkness. Blackness seemed to swallow them everywhere.
I am going to cry…
It is so sad and a sister asked me once – after reading the vision – to whom that applied and I replied that it was the lost and over the last few years the Lord has shown me that this actually also applies to those in His Church who are not willing to come…
Am I talking about eternal salvation? No, I am not…
Then what am I talking about?
The Lord has a will – a good purpose – for every single member of His creation – every single member of the entire human race on planet earth…
He has planned out every single aspect of their lives were they to come to know Him – were they to come to Him – were they to be willing to come to Him…
I am going to cry again…
Who they would marry, how many children they would have, which job they would have, which local fellowship they would attend, where they would live, who their friends would be, an awesome plan, custom made for every single individual…
But if they are not willing then that plan dies…
The Lord showed me the race between the sperm as they fight to impregnate the egg – each of those sperm is like His word – going out to all the people of the earth and the eggs are like the people but if the sperm doesn’t enter the egg there is no new life…
The sperm dies and so it is with the word of God in that sense – the plan which God had for that life is not realized due to the lack of willingness to accept it from that person…
If there is willingness, that unlocks that word to live and once received leads to further words received and further blessing on that life so that truly that life multiplies in abundance – as the Lord’s word grows in that life and brings forth good fruit…
I have been struggling to understand why visions and prophecies which I’ve seen for certain people which the Lord has shown me and told me are going to happen – and I’ve known that they are in the spirit at the time – later He will say, “No Andrew, they were not willing to come”…
This has happened with two people in particular and yet as I look back I also see this pattern in others…
In fact one other comes strongly to mind as I type this…
So sad…
Yes, I understand that God is Sovereign and yes, there are some plans which God has where truly His word does not return to Him void – and yet – as we know that God desires all men to be saved and yet all men have not been saved (as we look back through history) – we see that sometimes God’s word – in the sense of His desire – He actually has a blueprint for that life which will play out if the person is willing – does not come to pass…
I remember one missionary lady crying out to the Lord for a husband and no husband came – when she spoke to the Lord about this He said, “I gave you a husband but he wasn’t willing to come”…
That’s really sad…
Who makes us willing?
God does…
So at the end of the day God says things will happen and is seeing them through His desire and yet He can never force anyone to do anything against their will…
He can create in them a desire to do His will – He does this with our new selves – but He cannot coerce us – as His creation – He gave us that freedom to never be forced – but on the flip side if we are not willing – if we are not found willing – then His plan for our lives – that design and desire which He had – the very best for us – cannot be realized…
This has been very painful for me…
This lesson…
Up until recently when I saw things prophetically in prayer I ‘knew’ that they would surely come to pass – now there are things which relate to specific individuals – personal prophetic words – which I see are not ‘set’ or ‘sure’ or ‘certain’ or ‘absolute’ – I’ve been ‘thick’ here – I should have seen this earlier – and these things – yes, the Lord is confirming this as I type – are not ‘set in stone’ but very fluid depending on the persons willingness…
Just like when you’re sitting in a car with the GPS on and you go ‘off route’ – the electronic voice says, “recalculating”…
And then it pauses for a long time while it thinks and then gives you the best route now that you’ve gone off route…
It’s sort of like that with God – we may be willing but significant others in our lives may not be and He has to recalculate to allow for their unwillingness to come…
Some are given such great spiritual authority in the sense of an apostolic calling that they can keep many, many people from their destinies in God by being ‘trapped’ and unwilling to release what God has given them for the greater good…
We saw this as my wife and a close friend of ours prayed on Friday night – there was someone like this who had been holding on and a great many people had suffered…
God honours authority…
We are to pray for authority…
Eventually though if authority is not willing to come then the person holding it needs to be removed, “recalculating” – like Saul where David replaced him…
Like Judas where another replaced him…
Like, I believe Job’s wife, where I believe another replaced her (I might be wrong but that is what I believe)…
If we see someone caught in a fault those who are spiritual are to restore them meekly watching themselves lest they also be tempted…
What happens when you pray and pray and pray and share and share and share and there is no restoration?
I’ve asked myself that, I’ve beaten myself up about that, wanting to be sure that I’ve had the right heart and that my motives are pure and that I don’t have any bitterness or pride in endeavouring to restore these ones in prayer…
And in sharing…
And yet nothing happens…
And then one day the Lord says (after previously He’d shown ‘positive’ things in prayer), “This is no longer going to happen, they are not willing, they will not come”…
“You are released Andrew, you will ‘go on’ – there is nothing ‘here’ – in this place of misery and despair – for you – go on and I will be with you”…
“Others will come around you – those who are willing will come – as I have said to you before – and yes, I have ‘hurt’ you with the words which I have spoken to you – those who are willing will come – and that is how you will know who I am drawing to you – not those who say they are willing but those who actually come”…
“Not those who say they love you but those who actually do – by their actions they show that they love you”…
“Actions speak louder than words – and actions are based on willingness – it is really quite easy Andrew – those whom I am calling to you will actually come – they will actually be willing and they will come – it will not be hard – do not mourn any more for ‘Saul’ – let ‘him’ go”, declares the Lord, “it is over Andrew – let those words go and trust Me for My Resurrection in your life”…
“I know that I have torn you and yet I will heal you – you have learnt a lot about My prophetic destiny – the destiny which I have on each individual life dependent upon their willingness – and yes, I do create the willingness in their hearts and so yes, it really is all dependent upon Me and so no, you are not responsible when they do not come – there is nothing that you can do to make them come unless I give them the willingness to come”…
“Go your way Andrew and wait, contemplate these things – there is a great lesson in this for you”…
“And I will bless you”…
“Love you”…
