a house of prayer for the nations

I started this post – the portion in red below – back on the 18th October 2011 and have felt to complete it – the portion in green below – starting on the 17th January 2012 and finally concluding today on the 25th January 2012 after a break in thought on this topic for a number of months…

There is a seriousness coming back to me which I have not felt since around the time I began this post which I feel I must now express…

I feel to just share how I see this and “throw it out there” to see how others see this and get confirmation from the Lord through the Body as to how the Body sees this…

I see what I am seeing as very sobering, more sobering than I ever envisaged when the Lord started speaking to me about these things not long after the 04th September 2010 earthquake in Christchurch…

I am seeing things which I have never before seen and am overwhelmed by what I am seeing…

I want confirmation from the Body that what I am seeing has been seen by others lest, as Paul said, I might be found to be “running in vain”…

If these things are what the Lord is saying then there is a huge implication for us all…

“Behold, the LORD lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants. And the people will be like the priest, the servant like his master, the maid like her mistress, the buyer like the seller, the lender like the borrower, the creditor like the debtor. The earth will be completely laid waste and completely despoiled, for the LORD has spoken this word. The earth mourns and withers, the world fades and withers, the exalted of the people of the earth fade away. The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left. The new wine mourns, The vine decays, All the merry-hearted sigh. The gaiety of tambourines ceases, The noise of revelers stops, The gaiety of the harp ceases. They do not drink wine with song; Strong drink is bitter to those who drink it. The city of chaos is broken down; Every house is shut up so that none may enter. There is an outcry in the streets concerning the wine; All joy turns to gloom. The gaiety of the earth is banished. Desolation is left in the city And the gate is battered to ruins. For thus it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, As the shaking of an olive tree, As the gleanings when the grape harvest is over. Then it will be that he who flees the report of disaster will fall into the pit, And he who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the snare; For the windows above are opened, and the foundations of the earth shake. The earth is broken asunder, The earth is split through, The earth is shaken violently. The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard And it totters like a shack, For its transgression is heavy upon it, And it will fall, never to rise again. So it will happen in that day, That the LORD will punish the host of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth. They will be gathered together Like prisoners in the dungeon, And will be confined in prison; And after many days they will be punished. Then the moon will be abashed and the sun ashamed, For the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders.” (Isaiah 24 NASB)

The Lord really highlighted the following verses of this chapter to me when I read it on Monday 17th October 2011…

“The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant.” (Isaiah 24:5 NASB)

They broke the everlasting covenant – this is not the nation of Israel which the Lord is speaking to but the nations of the world – God has made an everlasting covenant with the nations of the world which they have broken and in this chapter we see the results of breaking that everlasting covenant on the inhabitants of the earth…

“For thus it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, As the shaking of an olive tree, As the gleanings when the grape harvest is over.” (Isaiah 24:13 NASB)

This scripture really reminded me of another scripture which the Lord brought to my attention earlier on in the year…

“Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has wrought desolations in the earth.” (Psalm 46:8 NASB)

In fact this whole Psalm is relevant to the content of Isaiah 24…

“They raise their voices, they shout for joy; They cry out from the west concerning the majesty of the LORD. Therefore glorify the LORD in the east, The name of the LORD, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea. From the ends of the earth we hear songs, “Glory to the Righteous One,” But I say, “Woe to me! Woe to me! Alas for me! The treacherous deal treacherously, And the treacherous deal very treacherously.” (Isaiah 24:14-16 NASB)

They cry out from the west – I believe to be a prophetic reference to America who has cried out – in generations past – of the Glory of God – in many great Revival outpourings throughout their land…

Therefore glorify the LORD in the east, The name of the LORD, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea. From the ends of the earth we hear songs, “Glory to the Righteous One,” – I believe this to be a prophetic reference to what God is about to perform in the nation of New Zealand…

These scriptures go with another scripture which the Lord gave me some time ago…

“So they will fear the name of the LORD from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun…” (Isaiah 59:19a NASB)

In fact, again, the whole of Isaiah 59 relates to Isaiah 24…

We hear songs… But I say, “Woe to me! Woe to me! Alas for me! The treacherous deal treacherously, And the treacherous deal very treacherously.” – this relates to the response of Israel when she has seen the Revival which the Lord will undertake in the nation of New Zealand, she will look at herself and see that she is undone…

But this response of admitting her need will, I believe, bring her to repentance…

Similar to what Paul shares in Romans 11 regarding moving his fellow countrymen to jealousy…

“I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. Now if their transgression is riches for the world and their failure is riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be! But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, if somehow I might move to jealousy my fellow countrymen and save some of them. For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the first piece of dough is holy, the lump is also; and if the root is holy, the branches are too.” (Romans 11:11-16 NASB) 

This repentance, I believe, is a forerunner to and thus precedes the final fulfilment, the final return of the House of Israel to the Lord (prophesied in Zecahariah 12 & Romans 11:26-27) at the time He “touches down” on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14) where “all Israel will be saved” and stay saved, I believe, throughout the entire one thousand year reign of Christ in Jerusalem (Isaiah 59:20-21) on the throne of “His father David” (Luke 1:32)…

“Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, “Lo, your salvation comes; Behold His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.” (Isaiah 62:11 NASB)

I believe that from New Zealand the call will go back to the daughter of Zion – a reminder that her Redeemer is soon returning and a call to prepare herself for her Bridegroom – which I believe she will – those who turn from transgression in Jacob – not the final fulfilment of that scripture (Isaiah 59:20-21) but the application of the truth of that scripture that those who will be delivered of the House of Israel at this time will be “those who turn from transgression in Jacob”…

Isaiah 24 ends with our great prophetic hope…

Which parallels the ending of Isaiah 59…

“A Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD. “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” (Isaiah 59:20-21 NASB)

Isaiah 59:20 is quoted by Paul – by the Holy Spirit in Paul – in Romans 11:26…

“and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, “THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.”” (Romans 11:26 NASB)

This is the final fulfilment – “and so all Israel will be saved” – when Jesus returns to earth…

“For the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders.” (Isaiah 24:23b NASB)

“And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As the LORD has said, Even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.” (Joel 2:32 NASB)

The interest I have – for the sake of this post – is not in the Lord’s final return to earth to reign but in the events which we can expect, according to the scripture in Isaiah 24 and other related scriptures, to see “played out” “before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come” (Joel 2:31b KJV)…

“‘A clamor has come to the end of the earth, Because the LORD has a controversy with the nations. He is entering into judgment with all flesh; As for the wicked, He has given them to the sword,’ declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 25:31 NASB)…

A clamor has come to the end of the earth –  what could this event be which has been prophesied in this scripture?

“Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Behold, evil is going forth From nation to nation, And a great storm is being stirred up From the remotest parts of the earth.” (Jeremiah 25:32 NASB)

What could this “evil” be and this “great storm”?

Again my mind turns to that scripture which the Lord gave me earlier last year…

“Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has wrought desolations in the earth.” (Psalm 46:8 NASB)

which continues…

“He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold.” (Psalm 46:9-11 NASB)

The rest of the chapter, Jeremiah 25, continues…

“Those slain by the LORD on that day will be from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be lamented, gathered or buried; they will be like dung on the face of the ground. Wail, you shepherds, and cry; And wallow in ashes, you masters of the flock; For the days of your slaughter and your dispersions have come, And you will fall like a choice vessel. Flight will perish from the shepherds, And escape from the masters of the flock. Hear the sound of the cry of the shepherds, And the wailing of the masters of the flock! For the LORD is destroying their pasture, And the peaceful folds are made silent Because of the fierce anger of the LORD. He has left His hiding place like the lion; For their land has become a horror Because of the fierceness of the oppressing sword And because of His fierce anger.” (Jeremiah 25:33-38 NASB)

The context of the above scriptures is that they will be fulfilled amongst “all the inhabitants of the earth” (Jeremiah 25:30b NASB) and I do not feel in my spirit that what is prophesied in these scriptures has yet come to pass…

Thus, I believe this scripture is still to come but I believe it is to come “before the great and terrible day of the LORD come”…

“Behold, the LORD lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants.” (Isaiah 24:1 NASB)

I believe this scripture outlines how the Lord will complete the judgement outlined in the prophesy in Jeremiah 25…

I believe that the Lord Himself will lay waste and devastate the earth, distort the surface of the earth and scatter its inhabitants “before the great and terrible day of LORD come”…

I also believe that He will do this simultaneously to the outpouring of His Spirit upon all flesh…

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” (Joel 2:28-31 KJV)

The Lord Jesus told us…

“and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:11 NASB)

and…

“You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.” (Matthew 24:6-8 NASB)

These things – those things spoken of in Isaiah 24 & Jeremiah 25 – I believe to be “merely the beginning of birth pangs” and not part of “the great and terrible day of the LORD”…

I believe these things will happen simultaneously to Revival and will culminate in…

“For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.” (Habbakkuk 2:14 NASB)

“but indeed, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the LORD.” (Numbers 14:21 NASB)

“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.” (Psalm 22:27 NASB)

““Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD, “For the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to gather nations, To assemble kingdoms, To pour out on them My indignation, All My burning anger; For all the earth will be devoured By the fire of My zeal. For then I will give to the peoples purified lips, That all of them may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.”” (Zephaniah 3:8-9 NASB)

“The LORD will be terrifying to them, for He will starve all the gods of the earth; and all the coastlands of the nations will bow down to Him, everyone from his own place.” (Zephaniah 2:11 NASB)

““Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’ Men will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame. In the LORD all the offspring of Israel Will be justified and will glory.”” (Isaiah 45:22-25 NASB)

Haggai 2:6-7 really spoke to me yesterday…

“For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:6-7 KJV)

And I will shake all nations – wow!

And the Desire of all nations shall come – wow!

This shows me that before Jesus returns He is the Desire of all nations, i.e. people have come to know Him from all the nations of the earth and it sounds to me like this is not just a few from each nation but a significant number from each nation to label Jesus as “the Desire of all nations”…

My heart leaps when I read those scriptures…

It speaks to me of World Wide Revival…

It also speaks to me of World Wide Shaking…

Back to Isaiah 24:13…

“For thus it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, As the shaking of an olive tree, As the gleanings when the grape harvest is over.” (Isaiah 24:13 NASB)

I have a mental picture of the Lord’s Hands literally shaking the trunk of an olive tree and the olives falling – He will shake the heavens and the earth, He will shake the sea and the dry land and He will shake all nations…

In the midst of this shaking…

“From the ends of the earth we hear songs, “Glory to the Righteous One,”” (Isaiah 24:16a NASB)

And concurrent with the songs…

“Terror and pit and snare Confront you, O inhabitant of the earth.” (Isaiah 24:17 NASB)

The picture I’m getting is one of shaking (ongoing) and one of a response of praise in certain areas while others continue to deal treacherously…

The Lord is in complete control of this process…

It is His Judgement…

“For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17 NASB)

We as the Church of the Living God are God’s Representative on earth – Judgement, Divine Judgement, must begin with us…

We are the reason why the world is the way it is…

We are the preservative of the world (salt), we are the conscience of the world (light) – if we observe wickedness in the world it is because we are not showing them the Way, the Truth & the Life – no one who beholds the Son will walk in darkness…

Judgement must begin with us so that we again can be salt and light to the world that the world may believe that the Father sent Jesus – God has always wanted the entire world to be saved – if we are showing them Jesus in our love for each other and in our unity Jesus Himself has told us that they will be…

“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.” (John 17:18-23 NASB)

“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.” (Psalm 22:27 NASB)

““Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’ Men will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.” (Isaiah 45:22-24 NASB)

I see in these scriptures an incredible end-time harvest when the Church has become what the Lord has always wanted Her to be – Unified and filled with Love for all Her Members – the Body of Christ – I see salvation – true, biblical, heartfelt salvation – obeying the Gospel of God (1 Peter 4:17b)…

How will the Lord achieve this in His Church?

“For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17 NASB)

“His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Matthew 3:12 NASB)

I see this as the time of harvest culminating with the wheat being gathered into the barn and the chaff being burnt up with unquenchable fire…

“For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.” (1 Corinthians 15:25 NASB)

“…I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.” (Matthew 16:18b NASB)

I’m seeing this pretty “broad brush” and I’m seeing in some of the scriptures even between phrases that there are huge “lapses” in time between the outworking of various elements although some scriptures appear to “run together” in terms of their content…

Jesus said,

“Hear what the unrighteous judge said; now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:6b-8 NASB)

This tells me that there is a “gap” between this glorious outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the point in time when Jesus’ feet touch the Mount of Olives as when Jesus comes back to earth there is – in my opinion – no faith (or perhaps very little faith – maybe the ones protected in the desert?) to be found on earth but I believe the Church – that is all saved from all time up to that point in time (Jude 1:14) – will come back to earth with Jesus (Revelation 19) as part of the armies of heaven when Jesus’ feet touch the Mount of Olives right at the end – signifying “the great and terrible day of the Lord” when there is the great battle, the beast and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire and brimstone and the devil is confined to the abyss for the thousand year reign of Christ on earth…

“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 1:14 KJV)

“But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” (Psalm 37:11 KJV)

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5 KJV)

All those of faith are sons of Abraham and will inherit the promise which the Lord made to Abraham in Genesis 15…

“Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham.” (Galatians 3:7 NASB)

“For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NASB)

“remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.” (Ephesians 2:12-16 NASB)

So we see that all saints from all time whether they be Jew or Gentile – as Abraham was a Gentile when he received the promise of the land – will inherit the earth during the thousand year reign of Christ…

“But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.” (Romans 2:29 NASB)

Thus we Gentiles are “grafted in” and become part of Israel and the promises of God for Israel so we are part of “the camp of the saints” during the thousand year reign of Christ…

“And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.” (Revelation 20:9 NASB)

“Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”” (Mark 10:29-30 NASB)

The thousand year reign of Christ on earth from Jerusalem is still “in the present age”…

I’m just “getting out” what I’ve been learning about these issues – but the specific point of this post is to address what the Lord is doing now or is about to do between now and the time when the Church – the Church on earth – “meets Him in air”…

I believe She meets Him as a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing…

“that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” (Ephesians 5:27 NASB)

I believe that after She departs earth “the love of many waxes cold”…

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matthew 24:12 KJV)

“But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.” (Proverbs 4:18 NIV)

Once the Church is removed from the earth after the Judgement of God is complete on the Household of God and after the Judgement of God has been felt on the inhabitants of earth the time of Jacob’s Trouble commences…

“Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.” (2 Thessalonians 5:5-10 NASB)

These are the things I feel to share…

I may not have it absolutely correct…

I am “putting out there” the way I see things and asking for correction from the Body if I am not seeing things the way the Lord reveals them in scripture or if I am presenting things which go contrary to the witness of the Holy Spirit or the Peace of God within…

I’m asking for someone to “show me the way of the Lord more perfectly”…

“And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.” (Acts 18:26 KJV)

I believe we are living in days where God’s Judgement is about to be manifest on the earth – a real purging is about to take place in the House of God – we will see this and we will see salvation but “how can they escape who neglect so great a salvation” when the Presence of the Lord is Manifest through His Church on earth in the invitation of salvation which will be made to every creature under heaven?

And then the Lord will come…

Maranatha, even so come Lord Jesus…

Bless Your Name Lord Jesus…

Thank You Father, Thank You Holy Spirit…

Reign in the hearts of Your children – Your elect on this earth and let us be pleasing to You in all our ways…

Let Your Truth be known on earth and let Your Truth be obeyed in the hearts of Your children all over the world…

Exalt Your Name in all the earth…

Glorify Your Name in all the earth…

I really have it on my heart to call for prayer for the city of Christchurch, New Zealand…

I would like to request anyone who has it on their heart to pray for the city of Christchurch, New Zealand to join together to do so…

I feel that we should pray between the 25th January 2012 & the 25th March 2012…

After the 25th March 2012 I feel that we should reassess where we are…

I feel the burden of the Lord to call anyone who has it on their heart to pray together for His will to be done in this city and beyond…

To give this city and the situation we find ourselves in to the Lord to see what He will say…

To completely give our situation to the Lord…

I really don’t know how this will work but I feel to “put it out there”…

This is not a “time” commitment but a “heart” commitment – I may not be able to dedicate “hours” (or even minutes) of time to prayer but I will carry it on my heart throughout the day and pray as the Lord leads me (perhaps in my car to and from work, perhaps in the shower or on the toilet) – I think if any of us “get anything” in prayer we should share it with each other so that all can hear and respond and then keep praying…

There is power in unity, it was unified prayer in the upper room which brought the environment conducive for the Holy Spirit to come…

The following word in red below (the unrevised version) I have mentioned in previous entries, I received it between the 09th – 11th October 2011 and it is only today 11th January 2012 that I have had a sense to release it…

To let it be tested by the Body…

Scripture tells us to test everything…

Please test this word against the scriptures, against the inner witness of the Holy Spirit and against the Peace of God which acts as an umpire in our hearts…

If this word convicts you – give it up to the Lord – it convicts me also 🙂 – only He can enable us to respond in the way He would wish us to…

If you hear the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart through this word give it back to Him and ask Him, “Lord, what would you have me to do?” – He will show you…

If you sense certain portions of this word are not from Him then give it back to the Lord and He will give you wisdom to see what is not from Him…

We know in part and we prophesy in part…

The sense I got when I received this word was one of sobriety, seriousness and a deep conviction that the Heart of God was not happy with what has been “playing out” in the Church in this City – I did not get a spirit of condemnation – but a strong and passionate sense that He was calling us back to Himself and that discipline – strong discipline – would follow if we did not heed His word…

I also sensed that some in the Church (the gathered church) who thought they knew Him did not know Him at all – these are the ones who would “not have this Man to rule over them” and it was to them – not to the True Members of the Church, i.e. the Body of Christ, which the word of “damnation” was given to – we must test ourselves in this – are we willing to have Christ Jesus rule over us in every aspect, every aspect of our lives?

I sense that we are in a waiting room for the unfolding of His Will for this City and for the Nation of New Zealand – an uncomfortable and uncertain place to be – there is also a sense of anxiety as the Wrath of God is a very real and very frightening thing for those who are not under the Blood of Jesus Christ…

Only He has the Plan, only He has the Blueprint of the Future of this Nation…

Only He can be petitioned by the Church of God in this Nation to release His Anointing and come and do what He has said He will do in this Nation and beyond…

There is nothing that we – His Church – can do without Him making the first move…

I believe He is making the first move and as we each – those who know Him – individually hear him – in this Nation – and give back to Him what He shares with us, we will see in unity the picture that He is trying to paint for us of the Plan which He has for this Nation at this point in time…

As those who want to hear His Voice are we willing to wait in silence before Him and to plead for the Leaders in the Body in the City of Christ’s Church to do the same?

Only then will disaster be averted – once there is repentance and a turning back to Him – “Thou Shalt have no other gods before Me” – He must again become our “First Love” – once He is again our “First Love” His Wrath will be appeased and His anger will not burn against us…

He is not very happy with the state of His Church – are we able to repent before Him as the people of Ninevah repented before Him all those years ago?

Are we as the Church of the Living God able to take our place as the Leader in this Nation and repent and turn from our wicked ways and avert the Judgement of God on this City and on this Nation?

We – the Church of the Living God are the Leaders – in the spiritual realm (spiritual realm first then natural realm follows) – have we taken our place?

What we see “played out” in the natural realm in this Nation tells us that we have not…

We are meant to be salt and light – have we been salt and light?

I don’t think so…

I am not perfect – far from it – I do though have these issues on my heart – I can not bury my head like an ostrich in the sand and pretend that they are “not there”…

I speak out today in the hope that this touches a chord in at least one other life of someone who the Lord has placed this burden upon – a burden for His Church to return to Him with all Her Heart and to give Herself to Him with all Her Heart and in full and unrestrained abandonment and submission to His Will for Her Life…

We are all – who know Him – on a journey – may we all be found pleasing to Him as we travel because we are what He delights in in this world…

“Do you think your acts of service without these core acts of service impress Me?”

“Do you really think that this is what I require of you in place of unity and being a House of Prayer for all Nations?”

“I want the Church of this City to seek My Face day and night without ceasing until I make My Name a Praise in all the earth”…

This post is really a follow on from my post of yesterday where the Lord showed me what He was doing with His Bride in preparation for Revival…

We forget that the Lord has a Master Plan…

He is the Master and He has a Master Plan…

He is not surprised by anything that happens on this planet…

He is not taken by surprise by anything which unfolds in this world which He has created…

He knows the end from the beginning and nothing happens on this planet which He does not permit for His Own Ultimate Glory…

“Man’s Freedom is Limited to the Fulfilment of God’s Purposes” – this is a quote which I believe the Lord gave me back in my twenties but it has stuck with me and has come back to mind right now as typing this entry…

He is in Absolute Control, we get all “storm tossed” and “confused” and “dazed” and “knocked about” in all He permits to occur in our lives, we get our faith “shaken about” and “knocked about” and “lost” sometimes – temporarily – but He always brings us back to the Rock and that Rock is Christ Jesus and the Rock Christ Jesus is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever and He is Sovereign – He is the King over all the rulers of the earth…

He Reigns in the Heavens right now until His enemies will be made a footstool for His Feet…

He is Invincible…

He is Immutable…

He is Infathomable…

He is Incalculable…

He is God and He is Lord and He is Lord of His Church and He is the Author of Our Salvation – He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith…

He is Building His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against It…

It will be Built and we will see It…

We will Awe and Wonder over His Church when He has Built It in our generation and in our lifetime we will see on the face of this planet a Company who Love the Lord their God with all their Heart, with all their Soul, with all their Strength and with all their Mind and who Love their Neighbour as themselves…

We will see the Church rise to be all that She has always been meant to be…

In the fullness of time we will see this…

God has Spoken and He cannot Change His Mind…

He has said that His Name will be a Praise in all the earth and it will be before the great and terrible day of the Lord…

Once the fullness of time has come the fullness of the Gentiles will come in and once the fullness of the Gentiles has come in then “all Israel shall be saved” and then the Deliverer will come from Zion and He who removes ungodliness in Jacob and He shall Reign forever and forever…

The Mouth of the Lord has spoken it that Jesus will receive Glory from every kindred, tribe and tongue and nation – that there will be redeemed souls around the Throne from every kindred, tribe, tongue and nation and that He Jesus shall see of the travail of His Soul and that He shall be satisfied…

Yes, there will be World Wide Revival…

Yes, there will be a demonstration of the Power of God through the Church…

Yes, we will see healings and deliverance and raising from the dead all over the world…

Yes, we will see the destruction of demonic strongholds over cities and nations and over Churches who have not been able to function in the anointing which the Lord has planned for them but in this generation they will be released and they will run in the paths of God…

I see it and I rejoice…

I see it and I am glad…

I see great Glory coming to the Lord Jesus Christ in this generation…

Nothing can stop it…

It is settled, it will be done…

He has purposed in Love – He cannot recant…

We are going to see things which we have never seen before in these days…

Great will be the Anointing which is Released from Heaven in this generation in a scale which we have never before seen…

I have seen it sweeping like a tidal wave or like a sonic boom over the world like a flash of blue light from a very powerful source – just released over the entire earth as the Lord who has allowed the demonic entities to come  to full strength now says, “Enough”…

What a Mighty God we serve!!!

I have seen it and I have rejoiced, there is vindication for the Righteous…

There is Justice for the Oppressed…

There is Lifting Up for those who are Bowed Down…

There is Rejoicing for those who Mourn…

There is a Righteous Reward for those who walk in Righteousness…

The Lord has seen it and has been displeased and His Own Arm is bringing Salvation to Him…

He is still on the Throne…

He is still the Sovereign Ruler over all the affairs of men…

Hallelujah!!!

His Plan has not changed…

His Intention is still the same…

He will be Exalted in His Church – He will be “Gloried at through His Church” – the world will see the Full Glory of the Church of the Living God when He Fills His Church and becomes “All In All” in His Church…

I bow down before You Jesus as my Lord and my God as I see that this is what You are going to do in this generation…

I am in Awe of You…

Exalt Your Name in all the earth and let all who do not Exalt You Tremble before You in the Mighty Name of Jesus…

Let Salvation fill the earth as the waters cover the sea and let us be saved…

Exalt Your Name in all the earth and let the Glory go to You Alone…

“I want you to swear, O daughters of Jerusalem, Do not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases.” (Song of Solomon 8:4 NASB)

I came to a place of breakthrough today regarding the Church as I saw the Lord reveal to me an amazing truth from His word which has really set me free…

The Lord loves His Bride but He says not to “awaken” Her “until She pleases”…

He doesn’t “push Her” to be ready…

He “waits” until She is ready…

Now obviously the Holy Spirit is working on the Bride to enable Her to be “pleased” to be “awakened”…

The Lord waits…

He is ready to bring Revival…

He has always been ready…

The Bride will not be ready until she is “pleased” to be “awakened”…

The Lord doesn’t “push” the Bride to be “pleased” to be “awakened”…

He waits like a patient Bridegroom for His “Love” to be “pleased” to be “awakened”…

The Holy Spirit acts “behind the scenes” creating a willingness in the Heart of the Bride to be “pleased” to be “awakened”…

While the Lord waits…

And waits…

And waits…

You can see the Gentleman which the Lord is…

You can see His Gentleness…

You can see the willingness which the Holy Spirit is quietly “working” in the background and once that willingness is complete then the “daughters of Zion” – those who are the companions of the Bride – I would call these the “forerunners” of Revival – can “awaken My Love” and She will be “pleased” to be “awakened”…

Our prayer must be for the Holy Spirit to be working on the Heart of the Bride making Her “pleased” to be “awakened” – this process is never ending for every Saint of God on earth…

It is – Unity between the Bride and the Bridegroom – a work of the Holy Spirit – it is not a work of the flesh – no flesh can “help” in the work of Unity between the Bride and the Bridegroom…

Those who have been made willing by the Holy Spirit to be “pleased” to be “awakened” are to pray for the rest of the Bride to be “pleased” to be “awakened” by Her Bridegroom…

Revival is about living in the Love of God – living in that Intimacy with God that “the Love of God constrains us” as Paul said in such a way as we do everything we do out of our Love for God and desire to Glorify and Magnify His Name…

“Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD.” (Song of Solomon 8:6 NASB)

That kind of Love will lead us to die for our Bridegroom, it will lead us to give up everything for our Bridegroom to “throw our lives away” for our Bridegroom and that kind of “abandoned commitment” cannot be “whipped up” or “imposed” or “forced” or “cajoled” onto a member of the Bride – it must be created in the Heart of the Bride by the Holy Spirit – once created that Love “is as strong as death” and its “flashes are flashes of fire” – the Jealousy towards the Lord produced by that Love – “the very flame of the Lord”…

O for that Fire, the Fire of that Love to be produced by the Holy Spirit in the heart of every individual member of the Bride and when it is We will Burn with a Passion for our Bridegroom which the world will see and believe that God, the Father, sent His Son, God in Human Form, Jesus Christ, to be the Saviour of the World and the Holy Spirit will enable many, many people to see on that day that they need also to give themselves unreservedly to this God who would offer Himself up unconditionally on their behalf to make it possible for them to come back into relationship – through the Blood of Jesus Christ shed for them on the cross – with the Holy God who created them and has been waiting for them to be made ready by His Holy Spirit to be “pleased” to be “awakened”…

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!” (Romans 11:33 NASB)

This “pleasure” to be “awakened” must be created by the Holy Spirit, we as Intercessors can pray that He will create it in the heart of every one of His Saints and those who will be His Saints – this is how they will be “added” to our number, this is how the Church will grow…

Let us focus on petitioning the Father to allow the Holy Spirit to work the willingness in the hearts of all whom He has chosen to willingly offer themselves to Jesus to be “awakened”…

We put so much focus on trying to change others – let us put our focus on praying that the Holy Spirit will be released to bring the willingness – the “pleasure” – to be “awakened” into the Heart of the Church…

When we see one who has been “awakened” into this place of Revival let us rejoice with them and fellowship with them and pray on for more to be added to our number as the Holy Spirit brings the willingness and when they are ready – not forced, not coerced, not “guilt-tripped”, not shamed, not “emotionally manipulated” – but ready – of their own free will (a free will created by the Holy Spirit within them) – because they want to – then they too will become our true brothers and sisters in the faith and will lay down their lives “unto death” for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…

No one is to get between our Lord and His Church, He is Patient with His Church, His Beloved, His Bride, His Love and so are we to be…

Who would dare to bring a charge against God’s Elect?

And that is what we are…

“The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;” (2 John 1:1 KJV)

What an awesome God we serve…

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.” (Ephesians 5:25-33 NASB)

Let us each humbly take our place in the Body – where He has placed us – and fulfil His Plan for our lives as He leads us…

Let all the Glory go to Him…

“I want you to swear, O daughters of Jerusalem, Do not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases.” (Song of Solomon 8:4 NASB)

I’ve really had this phrase on my heart over the last few days…

To “the least of these My brethren” (Matthew 25:40b KJV)…

The Lord is not calling us to go to the proud, the Lord is not calling us to go to the arrogant, the Lord isn’t calling us to go to the self assured, He is calling us to go to the least of these My Brethren…

How do we know when we have found one of these “the least of these My brethren”?

We know it because they are crushed in spirit…

They are meek and they are lowly…

They are not proud, they are not self assured, they are not playing power games, they are not playing celebrity games, they are not jockeying for position, they are not putting other people down but they are like the tax-collector who stood afar off saying, “God be merciful to me, the sinner”…

He called himself, “the sinner”, he was not lifted up, he was not exalted, he was not high in his own estimation, He was “the sinner”…

God is waiting until we take the place of “the sinner” in His Kingdom…

This is what, “If My People, who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land”, means…

We, God’s People, need to humble ourselves, we need to call ourselves, “the sinner”, even though we know that God has forgiven our sins, we are to take that humble place before the Lord where we know and daily experience that “apart from Me you can do nothing”, where we have a growing appreciation of just how much more of the rotting flesh remains in us and as He comes nearer and the spotlight of His Righteousness shines on us we bow our heads with tears in our eyes and we say, “God have mercy on me, the sinner”…

God have mercy on me the sinner, yes Lord, I have been proud, I have been arrogant, I have not placed myself underneath and held up, I have been guilty of being arrogant against Your Church and against my brothers and sisters in the faith…

Burn in me Lord a desire to humble myself and go to the least of these Your brethren, to the meek and to the lowly and to those crushed and be You to these ones for the Glory of Your Name…

Not seeking a name for myself, not seeking acceptance or notoriety but seeking the Heart of God and feeling the pain which these ones are going through as You bring them low and crush them as You crushed Your own Son…

“But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:10-11 NASB)

As a result of the anguish of our souls we too will bear fruit for God…

As the grapes are placed in the wine press so are we placed in God’s wine press and crushed until the juice flows freely from our lives…

The juice, the fruit of the Holy Spirit which has come through the anguish of our souls comes to the Glory of God…

Let me be one (and let us be ones) who picks (pick) up and bears (bear) up those who have been crushed by the Lord and let me also be there (and let us be there) to cry with those who are afflicted because of Righteousness Sake in their lives…

Holy Father, You are Lord, You are Awesome, I stand in awe of You Lord as I type this I am in awe of You, You truly are Beautiful Beyond Description and To Marvellous for Words as the song says, To Wonderful for Comprehension Like Nothing Ever Seen or Heard, You are Awesome Lord and we Your Church will see of the travail of our souls as You will see of the travail of Your soul and will be satisfied with others coming to brokenness in You, brokenness before each other and lifting each other up knowing that we are – by the Sovereign Grace of God – of One Family and One Father and One Lord and One Holy Spirit, One Lord Jesus Christ, One Fellowship with the Father, with the Son and with the Holy Spirit and One Blessed Assurance of our future with You in heaven…

This is what we have – we have You and we have each other – those of us who have been and are being crushed by You to the place where we know and are increasing in this knowledge that we are nothing and You are Worthy of all Praise and Honour and Glory through our lives…

O Lord, bring us to this place deeper and deeper and deeper – never ending – in the Mighty Name of Jesus and let the Unity of Your Body be seen on earth for all the earth to see the Glory and Majesty of our God…

In the Mighty Name of Jesus,

Thank You Lord, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Father, Thank You Holy Spirit,

Thank You Jesus, Glorify Your Name in all the earth…

I’ve had a burden on my heart for the City of Christchurch…

I’ve shared about this previously…

I really felt tonight a heaviness on my heart which I believe to be from the Lord – a burden a deep burden that the Church in Christchurch may be One as He and the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One…

I had a word which I believed to be from the Lord for the City of Christchurch which as I ministered previously I submitted for weighing and then revised but have subsequently felt to “lay down” and “let go”…

I asked the Lord tonight whether He wanted me to pick this word up and I felt He said “No”…

All I am left with from the Lord is the title of this entry, “Unity in Submission to the Holy Spirit” – that is His Will for this City as we each as members of His Body submit in humility to His Will and line up voluntarily under the Lordship of the Holy Spirit He will then speak to us and show us corporately what His Will is in terms of the Specific Purpose He has for us at this point in time…

I have surrendered to this in the spirit (the spiritual realm), I have surrendered to be united with all in this city who voluntarily line up under the Lordship of the Holy Spirit and who seek in silence His Face to wait in unity – in corporate unity to hear His Voice speaking to us…

I may never meet you but you may be an Intercessor in the City of Christchurch who feels this on your heart also – you do not need to contact me but be encouraged that we are feeling the same burden and that if this is the case then others will also be feeling the same burden…

The Lord’s Heart is Heavy over the city of Christchurch He is travailing over this city through His Intercessors to create the unity in His Body which He needs to fulfil His will for this City…

In the natural we can only move as He leads us – as we hear Him speak to us to go to a brother or a sister and do whatever He instructs us to do – lay our lives down before them and serve them as Christ within us leads us or uphold them in prayer or pray for them to be released or humble ourselves before them and be reconciled with them if we have hurt them or offended them in any way which the Holy Spirit is convicting us of – then we will see Him move to bring unity to our city and to our nation…

It doesn’t matter who was wronged, it doesn’t matter who was right what matters is that the Lord is asking us to humble ourselves before the sight of the Lord and treat our brothers and sisters as more important than ourselves and lift them up before the Lord for them to experience all He has for them…

I am crying out here…

I know that I cannot bear this burden alone…

I know that the Lord is raising up others who share this burden with me and I am requesting that if you, when you read this post, feel the Lord tugging on your heart to give yourself to Him for the City of Christchurch to bring Unity in Submission to the Holy Spirit that you would just give yourself to the Lord for this task…

A full surrender, you will know what I’m meaning…

Raise up Your Intercessors Lord all over the world to pray for the cities in which we live and to believe that You will rain down righteousness upon us as we wait upon You for You to have mercy as You promise in Your word when we humble ourselves and pray…

Fall Jesus on us all who love You and Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, You alone are worthy of all the Praise and the Glory – Glorify Your Name through our Unity in Submission to the Holy Spirit throughout all the earth…

Glorify the Father and Glorify the Son – Only You can do this Lord, we can not produce Unity – Only Your Holy Spirit can produce Unity within us – we beg You tonight Lord – produce Unity within us in the Mighty Name of Jesus – remove from us all the obstacles to Unity and let us be One in You then wait to hear Your Voice in silence before You…

I went for a walk around the block yesterday evening – it was a beautiful mild evening here in Christchurch – and poured out my heart before the Lord…

There were so many things on my heart which I just did not understand…

So I left the house to get some “fresh air” and have a conversation with the Lord…

I spoke to the Lord about a number of things which had been perplexing me and perturbing me and the message I got out of the conversation which ensued was the Love of God and faith to believe the Promises of God…

When God speaks what He says comes to pass – I am not talking here about Judgements which are averted by Intercession or Repentance or standing in the gap – but I am talking here about the words of salvation which the Lord speaks to His People and to those whom He has chosen for His Own Possession…

When the Lord tells us that He loves us – He is not going to change His Mind…

When the Lord tells us that He will judge us – He actually desparately wants to change His Mind – He wants someone to Intercede so that He can change His Mind and be swayed by His Mercy…

But when the Lord tells us He loves us,

“The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”” (Jeremiah 31:3 NASB)

He never changes His Mind…

We are engraved on the Palm of His Hand,

“”Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”” (Isaiah 49:16 NASB)

and He cannot forsake us because we belong to Him…

“Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.” (Habakkuk 3:17-18 NASB)

To be able to pour out our hearts before the Lord and have His reassurance that His Love is paramount in His Thinking and that His Love is so much stronger – in His Desire and His Intent for us as His Children – those of us who know Him – than the necessity to judge wickedness in us – although judge wickedness in us He does – mercilessly and ruthlessly in love for us He removes from us everything which does not please Him – like dismantling us and putting us back together again – that is how serious He is about removing our flesh – our old self – from us – and yet over all of that there is this overarching banner or rainbow of Love – like a sign in the sky,

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”

I saw that yesterday night as I talked with the Lord – I still don’t understand everything that I would have liked to have understood but I saw that and saw Him leading me on to believe higher up and deeper in like I believe C.S. Lewis said in his book, “The Final Battle” of where the children reached “Aslan’s Country” and I felt tonight that the Lord was leading me to believe “harder things” to believe for the impossible knowing that He can never break a Promise which He makes in Love…

This is what I have seen…

Judgement is pronounced by the Lord but He can relent…

Love is pronounced by the Lord and He can never relent…

When He tells us He is going to save us, or save a friend, or save a family, or save a city or save a nation or even if He told us that He was going to save the entire world’s population at some point in time – “the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord like the waters cover the sea” – the waters truly do cover the sea there isn’t any part of the sea that the waters do not cover – I saw this very clearly yesterday night – then we know that He will do it because He will never renege on His Love…

“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:37-40 NASB)

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me. Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.” (John 6:44-47 NASB)

““For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left. And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities. Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth. For the LORD has called you, Like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, Even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,” Says your God. “For a brief moment I forsook you, But with great compassion I will gather you. In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, But with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you,” Says the LORD your Redeemer. “For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you Nor will I rebuke you. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you. “O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, Behold, I will set your stones in antimony, And your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, And your gates of crystal, And your entire wall of precious stones. All your sons will be taught of the LORD; And the well-being of your sons will be great. In righteousness you will be established; You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; And from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows the fire of coals And brings out a weapon for its work; And I have created the destroyer to ruin. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD. (Isaiah 54:3-17 NASB)

When we turn to the Lord in faith and believe His Promises to us – it blesses His Heart – He is blessed as we believe His word to us – we are blessed and He is blessed – there is nothing higher than we can do for the Lord than to believe His word to us – we are safe in His Hand – He will not let us down – what He says in Love to us He will perform…

He is a Great and Awesome God and His Name is the Lord, the God of Hosts…

“Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.” (Isaiah 33:17 KJV)

The Lord has ministered this scripture to me this morning – He first ministered it to me a number of years ago and has reminded me again that this is our call as Children of the Living God to behold the King in His Beauty…

Psalm 40 tells us,

“Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened; Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart.”” (Psalm 40:6-8 NASB)

How do we come to that place where we delight to do the Lord’s will and His Law is within – alive like a fire – our hearts – like a flame leading us into His Presence to be ignited again when we see His Face?

Psalm 27 tells us,

“One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple.” (Psalm 27:4 NASB)

Regarding Jesus we read in Psalm 16,

“I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8 NASB)

Peter quotes from this Psalm in Acts 2,

“”For David says of Him, ‘I SAW THE LORD ALWAYS IN MY PRESENCE; FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, SO THAT I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN.'”” (Acts 2:25 NASB)

and Jesus Himself says,

“”Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.”” (John 5:19 NASB)

When Jesus was on earth this was the way He lived – beholding the King in His Beauty, seeing the land that is very far off – and as He ministered to the people this was not His focus but His Father was…

He discharged every responsibility that His Father gave Him in joy beholding His Father in Heaven as He gazed upon Him who is Life Eternal…

He saw Him and His Love and His Love enabled Jesus to complete the task for which He was sent – to save those who call upon the Name of the Lord out of a pure heart – He saved them, He provided salvation to the entire world – whosoever will may come – and then He sat down at the Right Hand of His Father in Heaven…

We who follow Jesus and imitate Him as Paul did will do the same…

“By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of  judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17 NASB)

Our greatest joy is to know Him whom to know is Life Eternal and as we know Him our ears will be opened to hear His Voice…

“Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened; Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart.”” (Psalm 40:6-8 NASB)

We will go and do whatever He tells us to do looking to Him and gazing on His Beauty,

“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3 NASB)

We are human beings not human doings – I once heard or read this quote and it is very appropriate…

As we see Him we will do whatever our hand finds to do and it will be done for His Glory as our eyes remain focused on Him and it will be effortless in that sense that our focus is still on Him, discharging our responsibilities but our focus is still on Him…

Remember Jesus as He was separated from His Father cried out, “My God, My God, Why have You forsaken Me?” while He was carrying our sin for those three hours of darkness on the cross?

What must that have meant to Him?

May we live in Your Presence Lord, the Presence of God which we have been brought into by the Blood of Jesus applied to our lives, May we complete the work which You have given us to do, remembering that You are the Lord of the work and that our “one thing” which “is needful” is to seek Your Face continually…

“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually.” (1 Chronicles 16:11 NASB)

Thank You Jesus, Glorify Your Name in all the earth… 🙂

I was having a chat with my Intercessor friend last night and we were recounting stories of our experiences in the Lord to date in the area of Intercession and I realised that sometimes we are given things to share and sometimes we are given things to pray…

The Wisdom of God is needed to know the difference…

I received a word which I believed was from the Lord back on 09 October 2011 which was completed on 11 October 2011 and I submitted this word to some trusted friends for them to weigh…

The results of the weighing showed a mixture of my emotion and the Lord’s word – the Lord’s word brings peace – it may bring great trembling and great conviction but it brings peace – you know that once you submit to it you will have peace – there is always “light at the end of the tunnel” with the Lord’s word…

I took before the Lord the results of my trusted friends “weighing” of the word which I had submitted to them and reduced the word down to what I had a peace about – I didn’t change any of the word just removed certain portions and set the word into sentences and grammatically “put it together”…

I shared this “revised” word with my Intercessor friend last night – read it out to him – and his comment was that there were some parts at the beginning of the revised version which some in the Church “wouldn’t get”, he sensed that it would be “wasted on them like a good wine”…

As we continued to chat we discussed how when the Transformations Video came out we both were very excited about how Revival had come in response to the prayers of the Lord’s People but my friend was sharing how not many in the Church “got it” they just didn’t see it and nothing seemed to happen…

As I listened to him I suddenly understood something and heard myself saying, “Well I suppose we get it so it’s up to us to do something about it” or words to that effect…

I suddenly saw that I have had this huge expectation on the Church to “get it” in terms of Intercession and the key role of Intercession in the work of Revival which is the key work of the Church – to be One and to love each other as Christ loved the Church and so demonstrate His Reality to a lost and dying world who do not know love and who do not know unconditional acceptance on the basis of believing in His Name and being pardoned and washed and set apart, cleansed by His Blood, released (and being practically released) from our sins by His Blood, honouring Him and exalting His Name in all the earth, bringing many sons to Glory – and I saw that I am responsible to do with what He shows me, what He shows me…

I explained to my friend that I was guilty of hearing from God and then going out there and “trying to make it happen” and encouraging a whole lot of people to join me hoping that would “get the ball rolling” when really I should just be obeying God myself – doing what I have heard from Him that we (I) are (am) meant to be doing – cos I understand what He has said and others may not…

They may not because He has not given them the understanding to understand what I understand because it is not their call…

The Wisdom of God is to realise that when someone doesn’t see something, doesn’t share your passion, that’s OK…

That’s not their call…

It’s your call to pray for them that they would see exactly what the Lord wants them to see for them, not what you think they should see, which you’ve seen…

Love conquers all…

So much misunderstanding has occured in the Body of Christ because we have not understood our diverse callings in the Body…

I accept that I am what I am and I have a unique “slant” on things based on the way that the Lord has created me in the Body…

No one else in the Body will see things exactly the way I see things but some may see things very similarly as their giftings “converge” to mine…

This is OK, but everyone else in the Body with different giftings is also OK in their sphere of influence before the Lord…

One Body, many members…

I am released to pray for Revival in the Body…

I don’t need to go from Church to Church, I mean church meeting to church meeting trying to drum up support for us “seeking the Lord” or for us to “wait in silence before the Lord”, I need to do this myself as this is what He has told me…

My call is in the spirit (the spiritual realm) to prepare the way of the Lord in the spiritual realm, i.e. to destroy the works of the devil in the spiritual realm, and as this is completed that frees others whose call it is to go practically to those who need to hear the message, to go to those who need to hear and share the message…

My call as an Intercessor is to hear from God and respond myself to His word the way I’d like to see the Body and the world respond to His word – with contrition and repentance…

If I respond in this way personally then I am free to stand in the gap for those who haven’t even heard that word in the natural and repent on their behalf and stand in the gap for them that they would be saved…

Days, weeks, years later when a physical messenger comes to them with the word – similar to what I have received from the Lord – they will be ready to hear and receive it because I have stood in the gap for them in the spirit beforehand to prepare the way of the Lord…

The Wisdom of the Lord is that He sets some in the Body as Intercessors, some as Evangelists, some as Teachers, some as Pastors, some as Prophets and Apostles, some as workers of miracles and many other gifts and related functions and He has tasks for each one to do which I really know nothing of…

I’m just sharing my little “slice of the pie” in what I’ve seen for myself…

I spoke to another Prophetic friend yesterday before speaking with my Intercessor friend and she, in answering her email, I saw that the Lord had gifted me in this area to pull down in the spiritual area and my conversation with my Intercessor friend confirmed this for me…

When we get a word from the Lord as Prophetic People we need to discharge this word in whatever way He shows us – it may only be to discharge it to other Prophetic People and never “publish” it or it may be to “publish” it and as Prophetic People our responsibility “stops” once we’ve discharged the word in whatever manner the Lord shows us to…

But, as Intercessors we then take up that responsibility – even if the word has come through us – as led by the Lord – to respond to that word personally and then to wait before the Lord to respond to that word on behalf of the Body and on behalf of the world – as the Lord leads us…

So if you’re an Intercessor and a Prophetic person you have a dual responsibility – one is discharged in bringing the word and then one is taken up in responding to the word personally and then standing in the gap on behalf of others…

The word which I had “weighed” was for the city of Christchurch – I reduced it, as I explained above, and I might resubmit it – the reduced word – for further weighing or I might just pray into it as explained above…

I feel released from the word – in the sense that I’ve discharged the Prophetic portion of my call in respect to that word but I’m now seeing the Intercessory part of that word and embracing that part of my call…

I hope this post is a blessing to someone out there who has these joint callings – the Prophetic and Intercession and helps them to understand why others “just can’t see it” sometimes and to know that “that’s OK” and to be freed to love them – as part of the Body – just as they love others who share their giftings and callings…

We each love each other in the Body of Christ because Christ is in us and His love fills us with love for all our brothers and sisters all over the world for we are members of His Body…

“They will be induced to jealousy over what I will achieve in this nation of New Zealand – a nation that I planned from all generations to know Me at this time”, declares the Lord…

“I Myself will preside the spiritual realm over My Church and I will ensure that My People are filled with My love and My compassion and that they will lay down their lives and their possessions, their treasured possessions and even their time and their very beings to My service to serve Me”, declares the Lord…

“As My People serve Me and do not hide themselves from their own flesh, I will serve them and pour out such a blessing on them that there will not be room enough for it”, declares the Lord…

“I am a great God and I have a great plan for this nation of New Zealand, for the nation of Israel and for the nations of the earth”, declares the Lord…

“My Church is the very fabric of society and I am in and bound up in My Church”…

“My Church has power to avert catastrophies and to speak blessing, as My Church commits to confess the sins of the people in their villages, towns, suburbs, cities and nations I hear and I forgive and I release a blessing for salvation over that city or town or village”…

“As My People who are called by My Name humble themselves and Pray I hear from heaven and I forgive and I heal their land”…

“I am an awesome God”, declares the Lord, “and I inhabit the praises of My People”…

“My People will know Me from the least to the greatest”…

“Humble yourselves before Me and I will lift you up”…

“I will lift you higher than you can ever imagine”…

“You will soar with Me in heavenly places so great will be My anointing on You”, declares the Lord, “that you will speak a thing and it will come to pass, you will declare a vision and a word and it will be done for you”…

“I will open the floodgates of heaven and pour out such a blessing for you that you will not have room enough for it”…

“You will see Me come in power, you will not taste death – those of you in this generation who know Me – before you see My Kingdom come with power in the hearts and souls of all who will know Me across this entire world”…

“Great will be the anointing on My Church and great will be the harvest which I bring in”, declares the Lord…

“There will be a harvest in this generation the likes of which has never been seen before”…

“I will get great Glory in My Church in this generation”, declares the Lord, “the likes of which has never been seen before and never will be seen again”…

“I am coming and I will not be silent, I have a controversy with the nations but I will save and deliver all who call upon My Name in truth”, declares the Lord…

“Who call upon My Name in righteousness”, declares the Lord, “relying on My Blood and the Blood of the Eternal Covenant to save them”, declares the Lord…

“My Blood which was shed before the foundation of the world will now in this final generation before I come again to Reign be applied to multitudes upon multitudes of people in this world as I come in salvation to many to show my right to Rule and Reign”…

“I will come and I will not be silent”…

“Turn to Me all ye ends of the earth and be saved for I am God and there is none other”…

“I am Lord and there is no other Saviour but Me”, declares the Lord…

“I will save by My own Righteous Right Hand and you will know that I AM the Lord, when I come in salvation upon you”, declares the Lord who has mercy upon you…

“When I come you will know that I AM the Lord”…

“The Mouth of the Lord has spoken it”…

“For I am the LORD, I change not;” Malachi 3:6a (KJV)

This is a really important scripture to remember when we think about the Attributes of God…

“Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.” (Exodus 34:6-7 NASB)

Moses, we read, “…made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship” when He heard the Lord utter who He was…

He is still the same, He does not change…

His Character is Immutable…

Unchangable…

“For I am the LORD, I change not;” Malachi 3:6a (KJV)

He does not act differently now to how He has always acted in the affairs of men…

When men sin God sets Himself against them…

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”” (James 4:6 NIV)

How does God set Himself against those who oppose Him and themselves?

He will do anything He can to get their attention so that they will let go of their sin and turn back to Him…

He does not want them to perish, rather to turn back to Him and live…

But, if they will not repent and turn back to Him He will “turn up the heat” via acts of Judgement to encourage them in their misery and in their despondancy to turn back to Him…

He loves us too much to let us continue blindly in our sin – whether we know Him or whether we do not – and so His Acts of Judgment give a strong “wake up call” to all who will hear them that He will act and that He will not be silent…

Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” (Genesis 6:3 NASB)

God’s Judgement is His “striving with man” – which is actually His Mercy or His Kindness which is trying to bring us to repentance…

God’s Ultimate Judgement is the fire of the lake of fire and brimestone which was prepared for the devil and his angels (who have not been offered – and will not be offered – redemption) which will also be shared by all those who do not repent and confess Jesus as Lord before they, “die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27b NIV) as the scripture says…

The scripture makes it clear that those who have not believed, “are condemned already” and that “the wrath of God abides – present, continuous tense – on them”…

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (John 3:16-21 NASB) 

“He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:31-36 NASB)

The Lord is free to Judge men in this condition in any way He feels free to choose, it is solely His Mercy which restrains Him from doing so but His Mercy is not deserved by men in this fallen condition…

They deserve Wrath and – scripture tells us – that even for those of us who have had our sins forgiven by the Blood of Jesus,

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV)

It is the Mercy of God which restrains Judgement right here and now on the people who dwell on the face of the earth…

When God said to Adam and Eve, “On the day you eat of it you will surely die”, I believe He meant both spiritually and physically but instead of them dying both spiritually and physically on that day the Lord sacrificed an animal from which He took the skins and made them clothes to indicate that a sacrifice had been made “life for life” for their sin to enable them to keep living physically, i.e. the Lord had Mercy on them physically to foreshadow the Ultimate Sacrifice which would be made for them spiritually to save them from eternal death in the lake of fire and brimestone prepared for the devil and his demons…

There is nothing more awesome than the Mercy of God but we must not forget that we all – even those who are covered by the Blood of Jesus – deserve to die physically every time we sin…

This is the way that it is…

God hates sin…

The fact that so many of us are not struck dead every time we sin is testament to the Mercy of God and that alone…

We debate whether God can do this or whether God can do that…

God can do whatever He pleases – scripture tells us this…

“All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?”” (Daniel 4:35 NIV)

“All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can ward off His hand Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?'” (Daniel 4:35 NASB)

So we see that God is Immutable and yet He relents and shows Mercy…

We see that mankind – under sin – is already under the Judgement of God – already under the Wrath of God…

Only sheltering under the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ can suffice as a remedy for this situation and even if we are sheltering under the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ any sin which we commit is actually worthy of the dead penalty in the eyes of God…

This is the way it is…

We have not seen the Lord for the Holy Lord that He is…

He is so Holy…

He can not tolerate sin…

He has “winked at sin” in the past but now He is “commanding all men everywhere to repent”…

Can the Judgements of God be physical?

God can and will and does use whatever method He knows will get through to those whom He is trying to get the attention of…

He will use physical death of loved ones, e.g. the first born of Egypt, He will use pestilence, plague, sickness, death, starvation, drought, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, wars, riots, looting, persecution, confiscation of property, loss of land, loss of assets, loss of income, loss of security, He will use whatever He needs to use to get our attention and to open our eyes to the fact that we have not been loving the Lord our God – and He is “our God” to each and every one of us whether we know it or not – with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength and with all our minds and that we have not been loving our neighbours as we love ourselves…

No matter how well we know Him – and even when the Lord has allowed the devil to take these things from us – as was the case with Job – there were still lessons to be learnt by the most righteous man in all the earth at that point in time and there are still lessons – deeper cleansing – which are to be learnt by us today in this same situation…

“See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven. And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN.” This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:25-29 NASB)

I have been feeling a burden for a number of years now for the City of Christchurch…

It started back in my early twenties (I’ve just turned forty last month) and it is still with me today…

I have a vision (and still do) of this City being saved…

Of everyone in this City worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth…

Of righteousness being the standard raised up over this City and of truth being exalted in its streets…

I have a vision of a city set on a hill which cannot be hidden…

Of a lamp set on a lampstand giving light to the entire household…

I have a vision of a Centre from which Revival can flow to the uttermost parts of the earth…

Where prayer and intercession and passionate worship can be offered up by the Church – the praying Church – in this City – day and night – non-stop for the Glory of God…

My vision is for a City who Knows God…

A City where poverty is removed by the sharing – the free and liberal sharing – of wealth between brothers and sisters in the Lord…

Where we all work together to see the Glory of God come in our land – the land of New Zealand – and where we work together to see Revival spring forth in our land of New Zealand where the Maori and the Pakeha and the other nations who have gathered in this land work together as one under God to make this nation a blessing to the entire world…

I have a vision of an army – a spiritual army – being raised up in this nation of New Zealand which will travel to the four corners of the earth and bring Revival to every nation under heaven before the great and terrible day of the Lord…

I have a vision to be a part of an apostolic and prophetic community where evangelism, pastoring and teaching along with intercession and worship are part and substance of our everyday lives…

Where the Church gathers whether in homes or in the streets or in stadiums or in fields or in parks or even in church buildings 🙂 to Glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…

I have a vision to be a part of a travelling band of prophetically minded people who will take the message of Revival to every City in this Nation and then to every City in every nation of the world…

I want to be a part of what God is going to do in this generation…

I want to be a part of seeing God transform a City and then another City and then another City and then another City with the power of His Redeeming Grace…

Where Satan is dethroned from City after City and the spiritual authority over City after City is returned to its rightful Owner Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit of the Living God…

I have a vision to work with others who have completely abandoned themselves to this purpose…

To see the Name of Jesus Christ become a Praise in all the earth – in all the Cities of the world…

I want to see the Name of Jesus lifted high…

I want to see the Name of Jesus lifted up…

I want to see Jesus given the Glory which He deserves…

I want to see the outworking of Jesus’ teaching when He was on earth in a City called by His Name – the City of Christ’s Church – I want to see the City of Christ’s Church being the Church of the Living God…

I want to see the City of Christ’s Church demonstrating to the world the love and unity which exist between the Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – the unity which has existed in the Godhead from all eternity – but now has been revealed in His Church which is His Representative on earth to reveal His Glory to the world…

The spiritual realm is watching, the world is watching, I want to be a demonstation for the Glory of God, I want this City to be a demonstration for the Glory of God, I want this nation to be a demonstration for the Glory of God and I want this world to be a demonstration for the Glory of God…

This is my vision, this is my reality…

I have this vision and it is not going away…

It is growing stronger day by day…

I have seen it and I have believed it and I am endeavouring to demonstrate it in my life…

I have it on my heart to continue praying for the City of Christ’s Church, New Zealand, to continue praying until Revival comes, to continue praying for Revival to come even if I never see it in my lifetime, to continue praying for Revival to come until I die…

I have a burden which will not go away…

I will fulfil my destiny…

I will fulfil my calling…

I will not give Him any rest day or night until He makes His Church a praise in all the earth…

I’ve really had it on my heart since the events leading up to and following Wednesday 28th September 2011 to write a post about what the Lord has been showing me – in my own personal life – about Prophetic Intercession…

I knew most of these things in my mind before the events of the last few weeks but what has happened has really solidified it for me – practically (working through it for myself) – that the role of the Prophetic Intercessor is one where we need to stay close to God as our source of all things “good” in our lives…

Friends, if given to us by the Lord, are “good” in the sense that we can share with them and they with us the things which are on our and their hearts and to the level which we and they are enabled by the Lord to understand each other we and they are a blessing to each other…

There will always be areas where the Lord hasn’t developed understanding in either us or in our friends where understanding is not presently possible…

That is OK…

The only Person we or our friends can share with in that instance is the Lord Himself…

That is the way it is meant to be…

A direct relationship with the Lord either through others of our brothers and sisters in the Lord or direct with Him where we pour out our hearts and souls to Him for Him to do whatever is on His Heart to do and for us to understand what is going on in our lives or coming to a place where we don’t understand but just surrender and experience His Peace…

To hear His Quietening Voice or just that sense that everything is OK…

To know that we are in His Presence and that He is calming the storm around us and saying even if not audibly “Peace, be still”…

To heal us of the inner wounds and inner uncertainties which have built up in our hearts and minds on the basis of what we have believed that He has said which has not subequently come to pass…

If we were to look to our friends as the final source of understanding we are putting an expectation on them which the Lord has not designed them to carry…

We would be putting them in the place of God…

We are assigning to them a task which has not been appointed to them by God and expecting them to stand in the place of God and “understand us”…

Only God can do this…

Only the Lord understands our every need, only the Lord understands the every intent of our hearts and only the Lord can soothe the disquietened soul or spirit of one of His disquitened Children…

The child who desparately wanted to please their Father and believed that they had heard from Him but what they heard did not subsequently come to pass…

Like John the Baptist in prison who stood up boldly but then had doubts about the message which he had prophesied…

“Summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?”” (Luke 7:19 NASB)

Jesus was moved with John’s grief, Jesus was overwhelmed when He heard that John’s life had been taken, Jesus knows our every grief, our every pain, our every discomfort, our every uncertainty, our every doubt, our every disappointment and He knows that our hearts yearn for Him and for the truth…

Yes, He can minister to us through our friends – we have experienced this – but He can also minister to us – pour in the oil and wine – directly, one on One with Him…

Everyone in the Body has different giftings and this can add to the “potential confusion” of “confusing situations” in some senses where we each just can’t understand where each of the other members of the Body are “coming from” as we each do not share exactly the same gifts of  the “manifold wisdom of God” as the Lord has given to them…

Fear of being deceived can also come in and “block” relationship between brothers and sisters in the Lord in this situation…

Only the Lord can remove the “potential confusion” of “confusing situations” and enable His Body to function in the Unity that He so desires…

Again we must think of the heart…

Are our brothers and sisters really loving the Lord their God with all their heart, with all their soul, with all their strength and with all their mind even though the situation at hand is “potentially confusing”?

If we can sense that this is the case then we need to walk with them through this situation without having an opinion as to what the Lord is endeavouring to achieve in their lives…

Job’s friends did best when they were silent for the first seven days…

Job was going through great agony and suffering of his soul and this agony was permitted by the Lord…

Job did not understand the agony and suffering which the Lord had permitted the enemy to inflict upon him and neither did his friends…

They were all in the same boat but we can all see – as we have been given the Divine perspective on what was really going on in this situation – that they – Job’s friends – didn’t really handle the situation very well…

When we come across a brother or a sister who is going through a “difficult time” and we know in our hearts that they are a brother or sister in the Lord, we need to support them…

Even if that is just an empathetic thought sent their way or a prayer lifting them up to the Lord or an email sent just to encourage them…

We can’t completely carry their burden but we can show that we care…

We have on our hearts the desire to function in Unity with every member of Christ’s Body world wide…

When one member suffers we all suffer…

Scripture tells us this…

We are members of one another…

Scripture also tells us this…

We all – deep down – believe and want to be in Unity with all our brothers and sisters world wide – we all have it – it’s in our hearts because our new hearts have been given to us by the Lord – made in His Image and Likeness – and He desires us all – His Children, His Bride – to be One…

“Love is the key to everything I do Jesus is the Source of it all” is a song which we used to sing at our Prophetic Intercessors group here in Christchurch which my wife and I used to attend…

This is the truth…

“Love covers a multitude of sins”…

Whether the sins are real or imagined if we are thinking that our brothers and sisters who love the Lord – who we have had “sweet fellowship together” with in the past – have fallen into sin, then our love for them can cover a multitude of sins and prove our love for the Lord and restore His Body whether that attack was because of sin or whether it was allowed by the Lord to strengthen His Body or whether it was a blessing in disguise which we just didn’t realise at the time, He will receive Glory as we uplift each other and carry each others burdens and seek His Glory and the edification of His Body in all things…

This is Prophetic Intercession…

When we pray into what God shows us is going to come to pass we must remember that God is a God of Mercy as well as a Jealous God and a God of Wrath and in fact Mercy triumphs over Judgement…

Even when God comes and tells us that He will surely act and “not be silent” we are to turn around to Him – even when He seems emphatic – and we are to plead with Him for His own Glory – for the sake of His own Promises – to have mercy with respect to the calamity which He has just told us He will bring…

He is above all else a God of Mercy…

He delights in Mercy, He delights to have mercy, He delights to show mercy…

He would rather relent than bring judgement…

When we receive a word from the Lord we must remember that it is not a “done deal”…

It’s not “all over rover”…

It’s not “set in stone” like the tablets of stone which God gave Moses…

It’s given to bring God’s People back to repentance…

It’s given to bring the people of the world to repentance…

His Heart is for repentance…

His Heart is that we turn back to Him and that we give to Him what He truly deserves which is the devotion of our hearts…

Our full lives are meant to be expended for Him, given to Him for Him to fill and for Him to magnify His Name in all the earth through our lives and through our service to Him…

We are living stones created in Christ Jesus to do good works and one of the good works which we have been created to do is to “pray without ceasing”…

“Always labouring for you in his prayers” as Paul said of Epaphras…

Prophetic words are given to us to avert the Judgement of God…

God will Judge if there is no Intercession…

If there is no repentance…

If there is no “standing in the gap” for the land…

Prophecy is not given to us to just sit back and say, “Oh well, God said He would Judge, I suppose there’s nothing we can do about it, Let’s just sit back and wait for it to happen”…

Words of Prophecy are given to us to fall to our knees and cry out – as Intercessors of God – for Mercy…

I was guilty – although I was praying fervently (as enabled by the Lord) – with respect to the Christchurch Earthquake Prophecies of just “sitting back” and expecting Judgement…

Yes, I was crying out for mercy – I caught myself doing this, I couldn’t help myself, it was just coming out, coming out from “deep down” in my spirit or in my heart, from the core of my being – like an “involuntary reflex” every time the Lord told me of the Judgement to come I would cry out for mercy, even if there were no words…

I know that I was guilty of believing that the Lord would still Judge and bring the Earthquake which would “destroy” the City…

I heard Him say, “I will destroy this City and Rebuild it for My Glory”…

I heard Him say this to me a few times…

When He said it I was overwhelmed and agreed with Him, agreeing that He was justified to Judge but I failed to petition Him for the sake of His Name to show Mercy…

To show Mercy to all those in His Body who would die in the event and to show Mercy to all the occupants of the City “who didn’t know their right hand from their left” and who were unprepared to meet their Maker…

I was comfortable for Him to Judge, yes, I was crying out for mercy but I was comfortable for Him to Judge…

I actually wanted judgement – I wanted the justice of judgement – I especially wanted all that was not pleasing to the Lord to be destroyed…

In part here I had the Mind of God – the Lord hates the works of the devil and was manifested to destroy the works of the devil…

“You are of your father the devil” Jesus told some of those to whom He spoke when He was on earth…

Jesus made it clear what He thought of those ones who were “of their father the devil” also…

This is the Justice of God speaking…

He is Righteous and He is Righteous to Judge…

He is upright and He hates sin…

This city has been filled with sin especially the Church in this city…

All that is true but at His Core the Lord loves Mercy, He has mercy every day the scripture tells us, His mercies are new every morning, that they are the reason why we are not consumed and that His faithfulness is great…

Abraham Interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah even though the Lord didn’t give him any indications that He would show Mercy…

It just came out of Abraham’s heart, his new heart cried out for mercy – indicating that he was a child of God…

Abraham got the number of Righteous People down to ten before he didn’t dare to speak to the Lord again…

His Reverence and Fear of the Lord outweighed the cry of mercy in his heart…

I believe with all my heart that if Abraham had have kept going down until he got to just Lot the Lord would still have had mercy – I have a witness in my heart as I type this that this is the case…

The Lord delights in Mercy…

He will only Judge when there is no Intercessor…

That is what scripture tells us…

“And He saw that there was no man, And was astonished that there was no one to intercede; Then His own arm brought salvation to Him, And His righteousness upheld Him. He put on righteousness like a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; And He put on garments of vengeance for clothing And wrapped Himself with zeal as a mantle. According to their deeds, so He will repay, Wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; To the coastlands He will make recompense.” (Isaiah 59:16-18 NASB)…

“O Israel, your prophets have been like foxes among ruins. You have not gone up into the breaches, nor did you build the wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the LORD.” (Ezekiel 13:4-5 NASB)

Scripture tells us that Abraham was a Prophet…

“Now therefore, restore the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.” (Genesis 20:7 NASB)

and he Interceded for the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah – even though the Lord had decreed judgement – here we see the linking of the Prophetic to Intercession…

Prophetic Intercession…

Abraham was called “the friend of God”…

Moses was a Prophet…

“Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,” (Deuteronomy 34:10 NASB)

and he Interceded before the Lord when the Lord told him to let Him alone so He could destroy the Children of Israel and Moses fell down on his face for 40 days and 40 nights in fasting and prayer (after he’d just spent 40 days and 40 nights in fasting and prayer receiving the tablets of stone) and petitioned the Lord to change His Mind for His Own Glory so the nations couldn’t say that He hadn’t been able to keep His Promise or His Word that He would bring them into the Promised Land… He petitioned twice – once before he left the mountain the first time at the end of his first forty day fast and then again for forty more days and nights when he went up the mountain the second time so that the Lord would go with them…

I am convicted and moved to tears by the example of Moses…

Moses was a man of God…

The Lord called Moses “the meekest man in all the earth”…

This is the Heart of God…

Hezekiah heard the Lord’s word that he would surely die…

“In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'”” (Isaiah 38:1 NASB)

but he turned his face to seek the Lord and the Lord spared his life…

“Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying, “Go and say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city.”’” (Isaiah 38:4-6 NASB) 

Isaiah Prophesied empathically that Hezekiah would surely die and then the Lord told him to go back and give Hezekiah another word, one of hope and the extension of his kingdom…

This occured because Hezekiah repented, he heeded the word of the Lord…

He heeded the word of the Lord…

That is a key phrase…

On the other hand when Samuel gave the word to Eli, Eli’s response was similar to mine with respect to the Christchurch Earthquake…

He didn’t cry out for mercy he just accepted it…

“Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son.” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “What is the word that He spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. May God do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the words that He spoke to you.” So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the LORD; let Him do what seems good to Him.”” (1 Samuel 3:16-18 NASB) 

Eli was a Priest, was he a Prophet? was he an Intercessor? I don’t believe that scripture tells us he was although scripture does tell us that Samuel was a Prophet…

Jonah Prophesied destruction on the city of Ninevah but because of the repentance of the people of the city the Lord spared the city…

Did Jonah Intercede for the city of Ninevah?  Scripture does not seem to record this…

In fact scripture seems to record quite the opposite…

Jonah seemed intent not to go to Ninevah because he completely understood that the Lord would probably have mercy on the city…

“He prayed to the LORD and said, “Please LORD, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity.”” (Jonah 4:2 NASB)

His message, “Yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown” didn’t offer any mercy but yet the people repented – even though it would appear that Jonah really didn’t want them to – and the Lord relented…

It would appear to me that Jonah was more concerned about his “reputation” as a Prophet, i.e. keeping his “perfect record”, than about the following scripture…

“but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:24 NASB)

So we see that either an Intercessor can “stand in the gap” and “make up the hedge” around a city or a town or a village or a settlement or even a nation or even the whole world – if led to do so by the Lord – and can repent on behalf of that nation or city or town or village or settlement and the Lord will forgive – i.e. He will stay His Judgement and give time for repentance – or the inhabitants of the city themselves can repent and the Lord will have mercy on that city or town or village or settlement…

He will have mercy either way, either if the Intercessor (or a group of Intercessors) prays (pray) “on behalf of” the people or if the people repent directly…

This also applies within the Body of Christ with respect to the discipline process which the Lord has for His Children…

Only the Lord knows what will appease His Wrath or His Anger or His Fury in any given situation – only the Lord knows what is on His Own Heart…

“Let Me alone” is a pretty strong thing for the Lord to say…

He wanted to destroy them, His Jealousy was aroused…

His Wrath was kindled, there was a fire kindled in His Wrath…

He wanted to destroy them and rightly so because they had broken His covenant…

Moses was priviledged to remind the Lord of His Own Promises which He had made so that the Nations couldn’t falsely say that the reason the Children of Israel didn’t “make it” into the Promised Land was because the Lord was unable to fulfil His Promises…

“Then the LORD spoke to Moses, “Go down at once, for your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them. They have made for themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it and have sacrificed to it and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!’” The LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, they are an obstinate people. Now then let Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation.” Then Moses entreated the LORD his God, and said, “O LORD, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians speak, saying, ‘With evil intent He brought them out to kill them in the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and change Your mind about doing harm to Your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’” So the LORD changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people.” (Exodus 32:7-14 NASB)

The Lord relented in the case of Ninevah, the Lord relented in the case of Hezekiah, the Lord relented in the case of the Children of Israel – all these were acts of mercy and gave time for the people to repent…

There are also certain events – like what happened when the Lord extended mercy to Hezekiah and then Hezekiah’s son turned away from the Lord and subsequent generations did also, after the Lord had extended mercy – where the Lord says,

“Even though Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not be with this people; send them away from My presence and let them go!” (Jeremiah 15:1b NASB)

So Judah went into captivity but even then the Lord had mercy because He said He would bring them back…

O the depths of the wisdom and the power of Almighty God…

He is so Awesome…

His ways are beyond finding out…

He is guiding us, He is with us, He will never leave us nor forsake us…

He is the Everlasting God and He is Lord…

He is Risen from the Dead and He is Lord…

“Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25 NASB)

You are Worthy Jesus…

Do you want to seek Him with all your heart?

Know that it will be a potentially “messy business”…

Know that you will potentially lose all your friends…

Know that you will potentially be misunderstood by all who know you…

Know that you will be ridiculed…

If you want a “safe career” – i.e. free from the above – don’t seek the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind…

Don’t speak His word if you want a “safe career”…

“and you will be hated by all because of My name.” (Luke 21:17 NASB)

If you’re “scared” of “failure” or want to keep a “perfect record” don’t seek His Face or speak His word – He may change His Mind – according to His Mercy and then you’ll be left “high and dry” if you were expecting to be “vindicated” in the eyes of men…

If you love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind and don’t mind what happens to your “reputation” or your “standing” before men then seek Him, seek His Face continually, He will speak to you and you will become His Spokesman, you will be the person to whom He delivers His messages and you will see Him “face to face” in the sense of hearing His Voice and knowing that He has spoken to you…

“Therefore, thus says the LORD, “If you return, then I will restore you– Before Me you will stand; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, You will become My spokesman. They for their part may turn to you, But as for you, you must not turn to them.”” (Jeremiah 15:19 NASB) 

At the end of the day there is nothing like hearing the Voice of the Lord…

We are all called to do it…

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;” (John 10:27 NASB)

We are all called to have an intimate, personal relationship with the Lord – yes, via the scriptures first and foremost – but also by the Voice of the Holy Spirit leading us step by step and day by day into the paths of righteousness prepared for us…

The Holy Spirit spoke to the Apostle Paul and forebade him to “speak the word in Asia”…

“They passed through the Phrygian and Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;” (Acts 16:6 NASB)

The Holy Spirit speaks to us today and we are to be led by Him…

The Apostle Paul suffered the loss of all things and so will we who speak in the Name of the Lord…

We will be led to warn – as has occured in the recent 28th September 2011 event – and sometimes our warnings will not come to pass…

We need to apologise to all concerned who have heeded our warnings from any discomfort or pain or agitation which our warnings have caused them and at the same time know that our warnings coupled with Intercession have actually saved those same people a lot more discomfort, pain, agitation and suffering than if we had have “held our tongue” and not spoken the words which the Lord gave us to speak…

We will potentially be “damned if we do and damned if we don’t”…

That’s just the way that it is…

To be a Prophetic Intercessor means that you may experience great “popularity” while “the going is good” but also means that you may experience great “rejection” when what you have brought is not accepted or understood…

You will need to accept that some will describe you as a “false prophet”…

You will also need to be prepared to “stand alone with God” and trust Him and His Voice ultimately – in accordance with His word – to settle your soul and keep you “on track”…

This is not a decision which should be made lightly…

I have chosen this life – the life of a Prophetic Intercessor – because the Lord told me that I am an Intercessor and He has also told me that this is my call – “prophetic intercession for world wide revival”…

I will not “back down” from my call…

I will not “be silent”…

I will speak when the Lord tells me to speak…

I am not afraid of men (or am becoming less so as He enables me 🙂 )…

Whether no one believes what I say or whether many believe what I say I will speak and I will not be silent…

I will speak and in everything I speak I will speak for the good of the Body of Christ throughout the entire world…

This is my desire…

Before God this is my desire…

Who will join me?

Who will join me in this potentially “messy business” of Prophetic Intercession?

Where you are Interceding with the Lord Himself to have mercy and give opportunity to the Lord to bring the Gospel to more and more people – to the entire world – before “the great and terrible day of the Lord”?

I will go with You Lord, wherever You go and however misunderstood (or understood) I may be…

I will go with You Lord…

May many who read this go with You too in the Mighty Name of Jesus as enabled by Your Holy Spirit (as I am being)…

May we be a Mighty Army in the Hand of the Lord in this generation…

Thank You Jesus, Thank You Father, Thank You Holy Spirit…

Glorify Your Name in all the earth…

May the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ cover everything we say for the Glory of His Name, let It cover our lives and cover the lives of all who know Him, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Let us be a Mighty Army in Your Hand Lord Jesus, Glorify Your Name in all the earth…

“And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32 NASB)

As His word says, May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with our spirits, Amen…

 I stated that I believed categorically before the Lord that there would be a Magnitude 8 earthquake on Wednesday 28th September 2011 with epicentre to the North of Christchurch…

This has not occured…

On the basis of what I believed before the Lord I issued a warning to all inhabitants of Christchurch, the surrounding townships & settlements to flee the area on Wednesday 28th September 2011…

Although my warning was given in good faith acting on what I believed that I had heard from the Lord the event which I believed would occur has not come to pass…

I am sorry and publically apologise to all who have received my warning regarding this event which has not come to pass on Wednesday 28th September 2011 and have been caused grief and/or pain and/or loss of peace through my warning regarding the event which has not come to pass – which I believed would surely come to pass – on Wednesday 28th September 2011…

I am truly sorry for any hurt and/or grief and/or loss of peace caused you and continue to pray for us all to be covered with His Peace and that He would hold back and repel all the remaining forces of darkness from having any influence on this city in the Mighty Name of Jesus…

Especially through me…

Again, I am very sorry for giving a warning which has not come to pass – along with the associated emotions which this warning has engendered – and ask that you would please forgive me…

Father, I am sorry for giving a warning in Your Name – as a believer in Jesus Christ – which has not subsequently come to pass, please show me Lord why this has occured and enable me in Your will to never again give a warning which does not subsequently come to pass, for Your Glory Lord…

I am sorry Lord…

Thank You Lord and please minister Your Peace to all who have heeded this warning who have been hurt or grieved or lost faith in You (please don’t let this happen)…

Please let all our faith in you – those of us who believe in Your Name – remain strong in You Lord – as every word which You have spoken will surely come to pass…
