I have been feeling a burden for a number of years now for the City of Christchurch…
It started back in my early twenties (I’ve just turned forty last month) and it is still with me today…
I have a vision (and still do) of this City being saved…
Of everyone in this City worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth…
Of righteousness being the standard raised up over this City and of truth being exalted in its streets…
I have a vision of a city set on a hill which cannot be hidden…
Of a lamp set on a lampstand giving light to the entire household…
I have a vision of a Centre from which Revival can flow to the uttermost parts of the earth…
Where prayer and intercession and passionate worship can be offered up by the Church – the praying Church – in this City – day and night – non-stop for the Glory of God…
My vision is for a City who Knows God…
A City where poverty is removed by the sharing – the free and liberal sharing –Β of wealth between brothers and sisters in the Lord…
Where we all work together to see the Glory of God come in our land – the land of New Zealand – and where we work together to see Revival spring forth in our land of New Zealand where the Maori and the Pakeha and the other nations who have gathered in this land work together as one under God to make this nation a blessing to the entire world…
I have a vision of an army – a spiritual army – being raised up in this nation of New Zealand which will travel to the four corners of the earth and bring Revival to every nation under heaven before the great and terrible day of the Lord…
I have a vision to be a part of an apostolic and prophetic community where evangelism, pastoring and teaching along with intercession and worship are part and substance of our everyday lives…
Where the Church gathers whether in homes or in the streets or in stadiums or in fields or in parks or even in church buildings π to Glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…
I have a vision to be a part of a travelling band of prophetically minded people who will take the message of Revival to every City in this Nation and then to every City in every nation of the world…
I want to be a part of what God is going to do in this generation…
I want to be a part of seeing God transform a City and then another City and then another City and then another City with the power of His Redeeming Grace…
Where Satan is dethroned from City after City and the spiritual authority over City after City is returned to its rightful Owner Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit of the Living God…
I have a vision to work with others who have completely abandoned themselves to this purpose…
To see the Name of Jesus Christ become a Praise in all the earth – in all the Cities of the world…
I want to see the Name of Jesus lifted high…
I want to see the Name of Jesus lifted up…
I want to see Jesus given the Glory which He deserves…
I want to see the outworking of Jesus’ teaching when He was on earth in a City called by His Name – the City of Christ’s Church – I want to see the City of Christ’s Church being the Church of the Living God…
I want to see the City of Christ’s Church demonstrating to the world the love and unity which exist between the Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – the unity which has existed in the Godhead from all eternity – but now has been revealed in His Church which is His Representative on earth to reveal His Glory to the world…
The spiritual realm is watching, the world is watching, I want to be a demonstation for the Glory of God, I want this City to be a demonstration for the Glory of God, I want this nation to be a demonstration for the Glory of God and I want this world to be a demonstration for the Glory of God…
This is my vision, this is my reality…
I have this vision and it is not going away…
It is growing stronger day by day…
I have seen it and I have believed it and I am endeavouring to demonstrate it in my life…
I have it on my heart to continue praying for the City of Christ’s Church, New Zealand, to continue praying until Revival comes, to continue praying for Revival to come even if I never see it in my lifetime, to continue praying for Revival to come until I die…
I have a burden which will not go away…
I will fulfil my destiny…
I will fulfil my calling…
I will not give Him any rest day or night until He makes His Church a praise in all the earth…
Starting with me…
Love in the Lord,
Andrew
Someone read this post yesterday – I notice from my site stats – and that made me curious to read it again myself – I often do that when I notice that someone has been led to read one of my older or less accessible posts – whoever you were who read it – bless you as you’ve blessed me by getting me curious to read this again – things have progressed since I wrote that – my passion and vision are still the same but my assurance that these things are and will certainly come to pass is just that much more solidified than when I wrote this – Praise You Jesus… π Glorify Your Name in all the earth… π To You belongs Eternal Praise… π In the Highest and on earth – May Your Great and Awesome Name be Praised Forevermore, Amen… π

Well written and this is exactly the Lord’s burden and vision too. In fact this is how the Early Church operated and how the Apostles went out (we have lost much in Christiandom). Have you seen the DVD called ‘The Real St Patrick’s’. The way they organised themselves into Apostolic ministry back in the 8th century was unique. Huges masses of people in Ireland were saved and also Scotland. Robert Heidler is the narrator and he also did the DVDs on Messianic Church Arising and another DVD on Church Governmentship (5 fivefold ministry). The whole way the western church models itself today is on a manmade model not a supernatural spiritual son/daughtership model. We will be able to see more of signs and wonders following us when we go out preaching the word, healing the sick, casting out demons and so on BUT not thru manmade programs, market stalls, prison ministry, hospital ministry and teams on streets, We will see it if we wait upon the Lord for the unction from on high, wait for the power from on high, go out under the leading of the Holy Spirit and that waiting time will reveal that. This means dedicating TIME to waiting, it may mean believers forsaking FT jobs and other worldly commitments, because remember what Jesus said to his ‘fishing’ disciples
“And Jesus said unto them, come ye after me,…. Leave your worldly employments, and become my disciples, and I will make you to become fishers of men: which will be a much more excellent and honourable employment, as men, and the souls of men, are more excellent, and of more worth than fishes; Commentary on Matthew 4:19.
God may be calling you to ‘forsake all’ for the Gospel. The hour is late and i am seeing so many people that God is visiting in this hour and calling them to forsake all.
God bless Alison
Definitely Alison He is calling me to forsake all, In my early twenties He gave me that scripture (from the RSV) “and they left their nets and followed Him” (I’m not sure what it said in the RSV it doesn’t seem to have that on my online bible) but when I read it He showed me that there was a day coming when I would hear His call and do just that – I have been waiting… π
While I was in Manila one night as I sat at my desk He told me that there would be a day coming when He would so come upon me that I would literally rise from my desk and just walk out of my job…
I still feel the passion now of that moment as I share this…
I know that that is coming…
That is what He has called me to – the Supernatural – in provision and also in healing and deliverance and faith – the gift of faith – is what He has called me to…
I agree…
He is calling me to this and I am willingly waiting…
Come Lord Jesus in Your Time and make Your Name – in such a short space of time – a Praise in all the earth – Come Lord Jesus and ignite this torch – my life – with Your Overflowing Glory and let me burn for the Glory of Your Name wherever You take me all around this world – in Jesus Mighty Name…
Thank you sister for igniting this fire in me again – it is easy to forget as we wait…
Love you,
And I pray the same release for you – the release of the Supernatural Provision of God in His Timing after the waiting in the Power of the Holy Spirit and on your husband also that he would flow with the work of God in your life – in Jesus Name – Praise You Jesus…
Amen…
(You have been a blessing to me in this post and I pray that the blessing will be returned to you four fold in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen, Release her for ministry Lord with Your abundant provision in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen, Thank You Lord)

Quite true. When God calls a man or woman to more than ‘average’ service, it never goes away. Like with Jeremiah, it is a burning from deep within. Jeremiah knew full well the adverse end result of his speaking the truth to a rebellious people, but the fiery power and voice of God from within him came out like a volcano. There is also too a struggle with the carnal nature and even the mind of the man or woman whom God calls, because the natural man is internally presenting to God, reasons why he/she should not answer the call. It is partly a test to see whether the call is ‘for real’ and it is also a fear, because the outcome is unknown, as was the case when Peter got out of the boat. He had never walked on water before (I mean who had!) and Jesus was the only person he had ever seen do it thus far. Faith and trust in Him take time to evolve in our lives and even after the Red Sea crossing and all the other miracles God did for the wandering Israelites, they still doubted and rejected Him. I guess that is why He says “Many are called but few are chosen”
Many are called by the preaching of the Gospel into the outward community of the Church of Christ; but few, comparatively, are chosen to dwell with God in glory, because they do not come to the master of the feast for a marriage garment. It means that God calls everyone and gives them the power to respondβbut to be chosen, we must respond to the call, using the power God gave us for that purpose.
God bless Alison
I’m in agreement with the spirit of your comment Alison up to the end of the second to last sentence in your first paragraph… π
I’ve been through that – you ask yourself all sorts of questions… π
In terms of my understanding of what Jesus meant when He said, “Many are called but few are chosen” I understand that to mean in the sense of God desiring all to be saved but only choosing to save some…
God also has desires for us all who He does save to live out the fullness of our calling in Him but again He only choses to fulfil this in some…
But I feel categorically that we all who He does choose to save are loved equally by Him and desired equally by Him to be one with Him in the fullest possible way and that in heaven we all will be – so I disagree with what I perceive you to be saying in your final paragraph – we will all know Him in heaven in the way that He has always intended which is why He will wipe away every tear from our eyes – and if we remain until He comes then we will know Him during the millennial reign and then on into the New Jerusalem… π
Rewards may be different – of different varieties for each different believer – as God knows our hearts and knows what we like – but we will all be loved the same for the entirety of eternity – those of us who have been chosen by Him for salvation – what a beautiful thought – Thank You Lord (I’m encouraged just writing this)… π
Love you sister,
Andrew
