If we could be in constant communication with those that we love and if we and they could perfectly describe the way we and they felt about what was happening to us individually then misunderstanding would be minimised…
This is however not the way things are in the ‘real world’…
God allows misunderstandings…
We cannot live in each other’s pockets…
God calls us to do things on our own at times…
And no one else may understand…
And we so want everyone else to understand – or especially those closest to us – or those who we long to be closest to us…
Sometimes God gives us what we’re longing for but not through the person who we long to receive that comfort or support from and we do not understand…
When we do not understand it is God’s way of pulling us into His Presence to seek Him and He, after drawing us further and further in, will then draw out of our hearts the reason behind why we are experiencing that misunderstanding…
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”…
Even Jesus experienced this…
And I believe Jesus was given an answer – that possibly only He and God the Father and God the Holy Spirit know…
He was heard because of His piety as the scripture has said…
When we are placed in confusing circumstances or suffer misunderstandings or uncertainty with respect to those we love and care for we are ushered into God’s waiting room…
In God’s waiting room are many treasures and these treasures and given to us through our pain…
There are many lies which we believe in our hearts and we don’t know how many of them there are until we are ushered into God’s waiting room…
God’s waiting room is just like a hospital waiting room – in the waiting room you know you are about to meet the Doctor…
And He will ask you questions about your health, how you have been feeling, where your pain is, what other symptoms you have and how long has this been a problem to you…
As you sit in the waiting room there is fear and anxiety and uncertainty…
But then it is your turn and He speaks…
And as He speaks the clouds break over you and you know – you begin to understand why you have been through what you have been through – and the peace returns and the confusion falls away…
The sun comes out and you relax and start to feel alive again…
Summer has come…
I love You Lord…
