I was sitting in bed this morning (enjoying my break from work) and talking to the Lord and got the above revelation…

He told me that as I loved a certain person unconditionally that they would love me in response…

I had this out with Him as to me this appeared to be conditional, i.e. I love this person and then they’ll love me, but He reminded me as to what He’d just said…

If I loved them unconditionally then they would love me and I thought about ‘love is not self seeking’ – so I was to love this particular person unconditionally expecting nothing in response and not expecting them to love me and I was to keep doing this for the rest of my life and then they would love me – it was counterintuitive…

That was when He said Unconditional Love reproduces…

And that made sense to me, that released me…

Just like physical love reproduces Unconditional Love reproduces – either 30, 60 or 100 fold depending on the Lord’s will (and in His timing)…

I am to keep loving this particular person no matter what the response is or is not…

The joy is that my act towards them will reap a harvest in their life according to the will of God…

Why?

Because this is what He’s told me to do and this is what He’s promised me…

‘Love never fails’ (or falls over) – I understand this more fully now – Unconditional Love reproduces…
