Unbelief…

And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!” (Mark 9:19 NASB)

The Lord is impatient with our unbelief…

This is – I believe – the only time in scripture where Jesus truly shows His feelings about being on earth surrounded by us – fallen human beings (even in this case redeemed human beings who still have a lot of unbelief)…

This is a sad scripture – but a necessary one…

Where would Jesus have rather been?

In heaven with His Father and the Holy Spirit in the presence of faith – because the angels – the elect angels – believe Him – they always do what He says…

Jesus always does what the Father says and the Holy Spirit always does what Jesus and the Father say…

They – amongst Them – have perfect faith – because They (the Godhead) do what the Other says…

But us – not so much…

And Jesus hated being here – for that reason – He was vexed to be here – let’s be real – He was – and it was because of our unbelief…

This is a very challenging word…

How many of us have had God tell us something over and over and over and then we complain because it isn’t happening and yet when we look closely at it we say, “I’m actually not believing what God said”…

“I’m actually making excuses why this hasn’t happened”…

“But actually I’m not believing what God said”…

If only we would believe what God said…

When God finally “lost it” with the children of Israel in the wilderness – He told them that they had opposed Him these ten times – or words to that effect – and then the writer of Hebrews tells us that they failed to enter in because of unbelief…

They were in the presence of Joshua and Caleb who brought back a good report but they chose to believe the other ten who – spuriously – brought back a bad report about the good land which the Lord was wanting to give them…

The Promised Land for us today is life in the Holy Spirit…

Inheriting the Promises of God…

Full, abundant and free…

And yet we make excuses…

The giants are too big…

The risks are too great…

God is looking for Joshua’s and Caleb’s who will take the land…

Take what has been given to us in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and live pure in our hearts – effortlessly live pure in our hearts…

Enjoy the land flowing with milk and honey in our hearts…

As more and more enter into the Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit – the Kingdom of God – in their hearts – more and more and more are going to see the difference – the different species which we, the sons and daughters of God, are – and the greater things will be achieved in our generation…

We have no excuse – we have the prophetic word made more sure – we are the end of the ages – we have had a lot of witnesses before us paving the way – and we are the end of days – we are the end of days Church – the promises are to be fulfilled by us – not by someone else – there is no next generation to default to and to pass the buck to – it is us…

We are it…

Who will rise up and take the land?

Who will go with me?

I will – but who will go with me?

Who will go all the way with God?

To the very depths of their soul…

About andrew james horton

Hi, my name is Andrew James Horton... I am a Kiwi (New Zealander), born in Christchurch (05 September 1971), now in my early fifties... I am blessed to be married with five children and six grandchildren... :-) I am at present a Principal Structural Engineer, Director living in Christchurch, New Zealand... I am passionate about prophetic intercession and about revival both in New Zealand and throughout the world... I am passionate to pray that the Church, the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, will be all that He - the Lord Jesus Christ - desires her to be in our generation... Back in early September 2010 I felt that the Lord gave me the name of this blog site, "a house of prayer for the nations - prophetic intercession for worldwide revival" and wanted me to "put it out there" and start recording the prayers which were on my heart to pray in the hope that others would also be encouraged to share the prayers which were on their hearts to pray and that in the unity of the Spirit we could participate together in this activity in different locations around the world as He led us... If the Lord leads you, let's join together in prayer for the Lord's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven in our generation... Love to All, Andrew
