There is such strength in the Promises of God…

He makes promises – He tests us – and then we let them go…

He gives them back and sometimes He takes them away – but when He returns them we see that His Word has not returned unto Him void…

People may come and people may go but His word never returns unto Him void…

He is a Mysterious God…

As you come to Him in pain He meets you…

He tears at your heart…

He does…

He wants to rip your heart in pieces…

He does…

He wants to do this so your flesh is removed – whatever you treasure most He will rip at in your heart…

There is no point in trying to protect yourself from Him and He will use the promises which He has made you as the bait to tear your heart apart…

As He tears your heart apart you see that He is discerning between spirit and soul – cutting a clean line – and discerning the thoughts and intents of your heart…

You feel bare before Him and you feel trapped…

I know – I’ve experienced this…

There have been conversations I’ve had with the Lord where I try to hide…

I try to avoid answering His questions and He continues to corner me…

Why?

Because He put it on my heart that I would ask Him that no matter whatever happened that I would never finally say, “No!” to Him…

I asked Him this and He has kept me to it – it came out of my heart – more than once – that I would never finally say, “No!” to Him…

So I gave Him permission to hound me – in a good sense 🙂 – although its painful and I have told Him to “get lost” (not in such nice language) a few times when it is particularly painful as He is exposing the deep roots of what I’ve been…

It is really painful – He initiates it…

That’s the hardest thing – you never know when it is going to happen – you don’t control it – you are at His disposal – and He initiates it – and you see yourself as you are (or as you were 🙂 ) and then He delivers you (He also lets others see you as you were – what’s been going on deep down in your heart – it all comes out)…

The Promises of God are Rock Solid in their intent…

What God has promised you will surely come to pass…

He may have mentioned a name it might be fulfilled through another name – it doesn’t matter – the intent – the spirit – the deep need which He has promised to meet – that deep desire which He planted in your heart – which you think isn’t planted by Him and struggle with and struggle with until you’ve gone through this process – when you come through – you come through as gold…

He is so Strong…

So Mighty…

Nothing is too hard for Him…

Nothing is Impossible for Him…

All the Promises of God – which He has specifically made to you – are Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus…

His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts – but when He brings you through and you’ve let go and let it die and admitted defeat and lain down and died in defeat – I’ve been there and then felt that feeling that this is “beneath me” it’s not as good as I can be and suddenly I’ve felt that “gush” of His Presence lifting me up to trust Him again – to believe – not to try again so much – that has then gone when that happens (or at least lost its power) – but to trust – to believe…

Not that I get there immediately or permanently – but He is heading me up…

Praise You Jesus…

The Promises of God release motivation – they release hope – they release joy…

The Promises of God are secure…

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you He will never let the righteous be shaken…

As His word says…

If you don’t know what God has specifically promised you or you just don’t seem to be able to make what He has promised you “stick” – you’re going “in and out” – then confront Him on this – ask Him, “Why?”…

He will speak to you – He will expose the hidden recesses of your heart – He will show you why…

And in His Strength – in the Presence of His Strength – you will submit and allow Him to achieve this through you – faith or trust is submission – allowing Him to complete His will through you – not trying to help Him – just allowing Him – giving Him permission – He carries you and He enflames your faith – His “enflamation” of your faith creates motivation to continue – it lifts you up…

We live by faith… Faith (or trust) literally is our life…

And the Promises of God are the ignition – the fuel – the rocket fuel – of our faith…

Without a Promise we cannot move…

Without a Promise we cannot breathe…

Without a Promise we cannot see…

We have no vision where there is no Promise…

Who makes the Promises?

God does…

He makes them specifically to each of us as His children – each child receives a different set of promises…

They are our life…

This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight, (1 Timothy 1:18 NASB)

What are the prophecies which God has given you?

Believe them and live – don’t believe what others have told you – believe what He has told you – either through others or directly – not what you “should believe” or feel pressured to believe – but what you know in your deepest heart to be true…

“Because My Sheep hear My Voice”, says the Lord, “and I will bring assurance to your heart that I am speaking to you – I will assure you and you will know – and feel – in your heart – with a rising sense of anticipation and knowing and strength and fortitude in your heart – that I Myself am speaking to you and you will know what I will achieve through you for I AM the Lord your God and I take you from your useless wasted life into a place where I am pre-eminent and I translate everything into My Glory”, declares the Lord, “a place where time and materialism cease to be a reality – all is relationship – relationship with Me”, declares the Lord, “and with My children whom I love – let go – let go of everything else – Choose Me and you will live – Choose Me and you will live – I have come to give you life – Choose Me and you will live”…
