God is better than ever I thought Him to be…
He is also harder than ever I thought Him to be…
What do I mean harder?
Am I saying that He is a ‘hard man’?
No…
What I’m saying is that He always gets His man (or woman)… 🙂
In all seriousness He will do whatever He needs to do to get us to the place of surrender…
It is through these hard experiences which He speaks so tenderly to us – on the other side of the hard experience – but during the hard experience it is as if He has become our enemy…
And yet He is our enemy because He is confronting our flesh…
Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God – God is at enmity with our flesh…
And He will confront us until we ‘get the point’…
He told me that He had something to tell me today…
“I will be with you always”…
“There will never be a time that I will not be with you”…
“I will stand with you through thick and through thin because you have believed Me”, declares the Lord, “through thick and through thin I will be with you”…
“You have won My Heart because you have surrendered yourself to Me”, declares the Lord, “and I delight in you because you have chosen to find all your delight in Me”, declares the Lord, “all your delight – for you now know that all your delight comes from My Hand – My Hand is the Hand which feeds you and My Hand is the Hand which delights you and provides for all your needs – you know this because I have revealed it to you – no other reason – other than that I have revealed it to you”, declares the Lord, “do not forget this Andrew – do not forget the reason for your knowledge – the reason for your knowledge is Me – I am your satisfaction – no other reason – you are ‘even’ because I have made you ‘even’ – no other reason – no one is ‘even’ until I make them ‘even’ – I am the God of all flesh and you will bow before Me and do Me homage – for I am worthy”, declares the Lord, “and there is no one else who is worthy – no one”, declares the Lord, “and you will bow before Me and do Me homage in your ‘peaceful frame of mind’ you will do Me homage and you will remember that I – I Myself – am your peace – you have no peace without Me”, declares the Lord, “and you will have no peace without Me”, declares the Lord, “without being in submission to My Will in all things”…
