Complete in Christ…

Here is the end goal…

to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me. (Colossians 1:27-29 NASB)

To present every man complete in Christ…

http://biblehub.com/greek/5046.htm

teleios: having reached its end, i.e. complete, by ext. perfect

Is it possible for you to be in Christ but not be complete in Christ?

No it is not, in your new self you are complete but this is not what the Holy Spirit is saying here through the Apostle Paul…

He – the Holy Spirit – is here speaking of the time when not only will every man be saved (world wide salvation) but every member of the Church who endures to the end after that time will be presented to Christ complete, i.e. mature, fully developed and perfect…

Paul strove towards this goal with all the energy which Christ so mightily worked in him…

Paul knew that Christ in him was the hope of glory and also his strength in all things…

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 NASB)

As we surrender to Christ He lives through us to complete His will in our lives…

As we align with His will we begin to experience His power flowing through us…

We are not going to experience His power flowing through us if we are not surrendered to allowing Him to live through us…

It really is that simple…

If we allow Him to live through us then He will…

If we do not then He will not…

He will not force us to complete His will against our will…

He is waiting for us to submit to Him living through us before He will work tirelessly through us to complete His…

And what is His will?

To present every man – every single human being on the planet – complete in Christ – that there will come a day where every one stands together on this earth and glorifies the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and acknowledges Jesus as the Greatest Name, the Highest Name and the only Name given among men by which they must be saved…

And then with those from that number who remain until the end (i.e. do not die or are not martyred) and any more born who come to know Him, to transform that company into perfection in unity and in sharing and in self sacrifice – in putting others needs before our own – so that His Body is ready to receive Him as its Head upon His return to earth to reign – that we will be so surrendered that when He judges the world we will be in complete agreement with Him and an extension of Himself as He does so…

Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? (I Corinthians 6:2a NASB)

To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 149:9 NASB)

and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. (2 Corinthians 10:6 NASB)

Motivation…

I’ve been really interested in leadership this year…

At work we’re reorganizing our team and endeavouring to encourage all of us to fulfill our potential – to grow basically and be better versions of ourselves (not my quote, I’m just borrowing it)…

I’ve been watching various YouTube videos on leadership and one speaker I came across was Simon Sinek…

I’m not endorsing Simon Sinek as a person but he does have some good things to say…

One of his illustrations is called the golden circle (I’ve included an image below to save you Googling this)…

I’ve encouraged our team at work to work through this as a team…

As an individual I see the Lord’s wisdom in this – Simon has just uncovered something which the Lord has established and explained it really well and clearly…

So I’ve called this blog, ‘Motivation’ because I believe for myself it was about time that I put my own personal, ‘why?’, ‘how?’ & ‘what?’ statement out there – for myself to see but also for everyone else to see…

‘Why’?

Why do I exist?  What is my reason for living?  What is my purpose?  To know Christ…

I want to know Jesus…

‘How?’

How do I achieve this?  How do I realize what I want to achieve out of life?  Through having Jesus live through me…

I submit to Him living through me…

As He lives through me I see Him, I get to know Him…

‘What?’

What specifically is it that He wants me to achieve in my remaining time on earth?  What is going to happen as He lives through me to enable me to know Him?  That is my call…

I’ve explained this in a nut shell here

There are further specifics which He’s been telling me about but I’m not going to share those now…

To consciously think through these issues is very helpful…

What we consciously set ourselves as goals we find ourselves naturally calculating our actions to achieve…

Lord, I ask that each of us who know You would have our own session with You on this at the time of Your choosing to curb our actions into line with Your will for our lives…

Let Your Blood cover us all…

Thank You,

Andrew

Norway…

“I love you”…

“You are My own”…

“I have chosen to save you and save you I will”, declares the Lord…

“The Blood will be applied to your nation from hence time forth and forever more”, declares the Lord…

“I have bought you and I have paid for you”…

“My Blood has been applied to you and I have chosen you for My very own”, declares the Lord…

“There is no shortage in My love – My love is abundant towards you”, declares the Lord, “and My fire is released in your nation to burn and to burn and to burn – right to the roots – right to the very core of your nation and to turn your entire nation to Me”, declares the Lord, “I will burn and burn and burn and never cease burning until your entire nation glows with My Presence – and My Presence will be felt throughout your entire nation”…

“Your entire nation will burn for My Glory and the heat will rise – there will be a stark contrast between the temperature in the natural in your nation and the temperature in the spirit over and throughout and in your entire nation – for your entire nation will be on fire for Me”, declares the Lord, “and I will claim you all – right to the end – for My very own”…

Accept one another…

Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. (Romans 15:7 NASB)

The word in the Greek here means to ‘aggressively receive, with strong personal interest’ (http://biblehub.com/greek/4355.htm)…

This scripture is speaking of the way any Blood bought saint should ‘receive’ or ‘accept to yourselves’ or ‘welcome’ to themselves any other Blood bought saint…

This is a strong injunction in scripture…

So why is it that we do not see this happening?

Is everyone scared that in doing this they will open themselves up to being abused?

“I couldn’t let them get too close to me ‘cos it might backfire!” – maybe something like this?

Why also is it that we see the Church so fragmented in little slithers where to ‘belong’ you have to jump through quite particular theological hoops about quite extraneous topics…

“Oh, I couldn’t have fellowship with them as they believe in the ‘post-trib’ rapture position where I believe in the ‘pre-wrath’ rapture position!” – for example…

A more controversial example, “Oh, I could never have fellowship with them as they don’t believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit!”…

At the end of the day if we believe we have been bought by Jesus’ Royal Blood (as Rend Collective so beautifully wrote in one of their songs), i.e. admitting and confessing that the Blood of God – Jesus Himself – has bought us – if we agree at this level then all else will follow – maybe not instantaneously but eventually with insight and with the prompting of the Holy Spirit within us – as He is our Teacher and will gift Teachers on earth to teach – He will teach us all things and we will attain to the unity which is in Christ Jesus…

Nothing is to be ‘too freaky’ for us to handle from our brothers and sisters in Christ…

Someone will say, “Oh, but Andrew, what if they’re not really our brothers and sisters in Christ, I can’t have fellowship with them if I don’t know that!”…

And I would reply, “If they’ve said that they’ve been saved by Jesus’ Royal Blood and believe that Jesus is both Lord and God and came to be the sacrifice for their sins and that they are now trusting eternally in His Righteousness and His Gift of Grace to save them then we should trust them in this”…

Over time it will become clear who is and who is not really one of God’s children…

“How will this become clear Andrew?”…

I would say, “It has nothing to do with how quickly the Holy Spirit releases them from sin but it has everything to do with their attitude towards God and wanting to be made more and more and more like Him”…

No one who has been born again can remain the same or want to remain the same…

They have been born again and want to know their Father…

We see this in human behaviour…

All children instinctively – even if their father is a real ‘asshole’ – want to know their fathers – and children instinctively copy their father’s behaviour…

It is no different with a born again believer…

We may not be perfect but we don’t like the perfect we’re not and we want to become more and more like Christ – the Everlasting Father – the Prince of Peace…

“Can I accept a believer who swears even though scripture tells us swearing is bad?”…

My answer would be, “Can you accept a baby who poops its diaper?”…

Can you accept a recovering drug addict who gets high a few more times after coming to Christ as the reality of what has just happened dawns on them?

Can you accept someone who has been addicted to pornography and masturbation when they come to Christ and don’t instantly lose the desire and stop completely?

Jesus Himself had this to say,

“And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” (Luke 5:39 NASB)

There’s a transition of behaviour which takes place as the old is replaced with the new in the power of the Holy Spirit and this process is unique for each and every child of God…

I remember a testimony from a brother at Drug Arm – he and I were leading a team on Friday nights to give out food to people (the majority of whom were either on drugs or alcohol) in our square on Friday nights – and he had come to the Lord out of drugs and his Pastor very wisely told him not to worry if he got high a few more times (removing condemnation and removing the fear of failure) and this brother was delivered from getting high and was going well during the time we worked together…

Another testimony from a book I read about a Jewish man who came to the Lord was that he began to read scripture and he was a chain smoker – he kept devouring the scripture (reading right through the bible) but at the same time smoked even more and as he got to a certain point (I can’t remember if it was the book of John or right through the bible or even after that time) he gave his life to Jesus…

He eventually became a Pastor and began a church in his house (from what I remember)…

The point was that he didn’t try and ‘clean himself up’ before coming to the Lord – he just came as he was – and the principle also holds for after we come to the Lord – we just come as we are – accepted – into His Presence – and let Him clean us up – and none of us standing next to any other saint in the Presence of God have the right to comment in condemnation about the remaining stink coming from our brother or sister in Christ…

Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. (Romans 14:4 NASB)

Does our condemnation of our brothers or sisters help them to improve?  Does it help them to stand?

If it really turns out that they are not our brothers and sisters at least we have followed the injunction that ‘love always trusts’ – it is then up to the Lord to judge the one who has said they are a brother or sister but in reality are not but are still in their sins…

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:7 NIV)

There are no negative emotions associated with trusting others…

There is no anxiety, there is no worry, there is no suspicion, there is no insecurity, there is no need to check up on people, no need to ensure everyone is ‘accountable’ to someone, there is no ‘secret service’ – think about this – what a waste of time these activities are in the Kingdom and Service of God – we are called to trust and let God deal with the rest…

Ananias and Sapphira should serve as a warning to those who want to lie in the Presence of God…

God is not mocked and neither is He fooled…

But for us who are His Servants we are not to meddle and judge…

The lack of unity in the Church has had a lot to do with this…

Once eliminated we will be a force to be reckoned with…

Territorialism and power trips – associated with ego – are another major reason why unity has not occurred in the Church along with a desire to ‘make merchandise’ out of the ‘charisma’ which God has freely given to His Servants to share freely with one another…

These things will change…

God will regain the control in His Church…

He has left us to see what we could do – as we were not willing to turn to Him in desperation and stop our attempts to do His work for Him – and now – very soon – He will come and cause us – all – to stop – and wait for Him to come in us – to come to His Fullness in us so that we can work together as a team – in one spirit and in one soul – as one body to achieve His Purpose on earth – the salvation of the world and the purification of His saints…

A Safe Place…

The Lord gave a revelation on this either yesterday night or the night before that…

I was seeing that as someone who had been delivered from condemnation led an event organised by the Lord the Presence of the Lord and His angelic host would protect that environment from demonic opposition providing a safe place for open sharing, honesty and confession which would lead to repentance in no way triggered by guilt or shame but triggered by His Unconditional Love…

This is what I saw – the Anointing of Grace – He had previously shown me before a Scepter of Grace – and He reminded me of this as I saw the Safe Place perimeter formed – and that this Scepter is invanquishable even though it is not an attacking weapon – and then I understood…

It is the absence of condemnation which releases the Lord’s Presence…

The Lord’s Presence does not flow or manifest in the presence of condemnation…

Perfect Love casts out fear…

He is coming and He is coming to release His Beloved from condemnation…

She has cowered low under condemnation for too long…

He is coming to release Her and set Her free into His Glorious Freedom…

He has set us free…

He is stronger than he that is in the world…

Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world…

Whether we are experiencing the reality of that truth at any point in time through Christ practically living through us doesn’t invalidate the truth that we can do all things in the One empowering us (or through Christ who gives us strength)…

It is still true…

There is no condemnation…

We are sons and daughters of God not because of our behaviour but because of His Grace and His Choice…

We know we are redeemed…

Whether any one else knows this or thinks this is not relevant and shouldn’t change our impression about ourselves – our knowledge of ourselves – and God’s knowledge of us…

I saw every demon removed from the Presence of God as the one in spiritual authority in that gathering took the place of no condemnation – the place of humility…

There is protection in the place of humility…

No where else…

Any spirit which condemns is of the Devil…

Be aware of those who condemn – and flee their presence…

Do not associate with them…

Make your decision to avoid them and not engage them…

They are not worth communicating with…

Yes, you love them but they have nothing to offer you…

They are those to whom the Lord tells us, “Do not cast your pearls before swine”…

Why?

“Lest they turn and tear you in pieces”…

For this is what they do…

Open your eyes to see those around you who behave this way…

And avoid them…

Associate with ones who do not condemn…

Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. (Romans 15:7 NASB)

Where We Belong – Hillsong…

Thank You Jesus… 🙂

Let me know this intimacy…

I want to know You…

You are my Father, You are my Saviour, You are my Friend, You are my Strength, You are becoming my Comforter, I am Yours…

“I am your Comforter Andrew, you are just not experiencing Me in this way to its fullness”…

“But you will”…

“And you will be released from your sins – in that day when My Comfort is complete in you – you will be released from all your sins and I will inhabit you fully – no regrets Andrew, no remorse – your sins are gone – paid for – over – never to be mentioned again – you have confessed them to Me – I have heard you and you are free – forget Andrew, forget about your sin – for I have chosen to remember it no more – I am focusing on releasing to you My Comfort, My Favour and My Prosperity – in this you will thrive and sin will hold no appeal to you – you will be forgiven fully as you have already been forgiven in My Heart – you will be forgiven fully in the way that you remember your sin no more”…

“There will be no more remembrance of sin in your life – your life will be a passion towards Me – a burning passion towards Me – closer and closer and closer towards Me – this will consume your life and your days, your nights and every waking moment – even in your sleep I will inhabit your dreams – I will possess you wholly as I have already promised you”…

“There is nothing you can do to make this happen Andrew – it is planned and it will surely occur – when I say to wait what I am really saying is let the remainder of your flesh ‘have its day’ and watch Me eliminate it from you – in the waiting you see what you used to be and understand why I am better than anything which the world or your flesh or the Devil has to offer”…

“Yes Andrew, I do give him a capital letter for he is a person created in My image just as you are, yes Andrew he will undergo My Wrath forever but he is still a person”…

“I am yours – you have everything you need – you have undergone deprivation but that season of your life is coming to a close – you know of what I speak – and in that place of deprivation – or the desert as you call it – you will come to know – practically – that there is nothing in your flesh which seeks anything but its own praise, its own glory and its own fulfillment – you will see this and experience the emptiness of it until you are dead – practically – and experience no further desire for it and are ready in your new self to run headlong into My Arms to be your everything – there is no short cut Andrew – you have to walk through this and it is painful for you see that you don’t want to do these things – you see that they are ‘dead end’ but need to experience this until the cry comes from deep within your heart to say, ‘Enough! I will return to My Father!'”…

“Yes Andrew, it is like the prodigal son – every single sin which you commit is like living in the pigsty”…

“That is what it is – it is empty and the pig pods do not satisfy”…

“That is what you will see and that – that freedom – is what you will testify to My Church”…

“You will lead My Church in your surrender to the process of being practically born again”…

“I prophesy this to you – I am creating a generation who from the integrity of their hearts will shepherd My people on earth – you will lead this in the integrity of your heart to lead by humility and not pretending to be anything you are not – sin is a disgrace to any people – but you will lead in humility to show My people that they can be real about their sin and wait for Me to practically deliver them – not trusting themselves to ‘pull themselves up by their bootstraps’ but waiting for My Spirit to arise within them and experiencing no condemnation in the process”…

“You will lead in this and I will bless you”…

“Your life is precious to Me and I will not let anyone abuse you”…

“I will protect you in this process – all who abuse you will die”…

“Your humility and reality is what I seek”…

“This is what I will use”…

“I love you”…

“Wait”…

Jesus…

The word of the Lord tested him…

Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. (Psalm 105:19 NASB)

I’ve been going through this…

When the Lord strips away all that you can ‘make happen’ yourself you see that you really are ‘hanging by a thread’ to wait for what He has promised you…

How different Joseph’s life looked to Joseph than what the Lord had promised him when he was held like a prisoner in Potiphar’s house…

And there was nothing that he could do about it…

But wait…

How different things looked once the word had come to pass…

No one would have believed it except the one to whom the word was given…

And why did Joseph believe this word?

Because the Lord gave him faith to endure…

The word of the Lord tested him…

This wasn’t a test to see if he had faith…

The Lord already knew he did…

It was a deepening of his faith – the testing of our faith (as we read further on in scripture) – which the Lord was interested in – a true widening of his faith to wait and see the promises of God performed – to let go and let God…

What could Joseph do from a prison house?

Nothing – but continue to serve the Lord which he did…

And so I say to myself and to all others for whom the word of the Lord is testing us – endure…

And enjoy the barrenness or emptiness of your present situation…

Even in deserts there are strange and interesting happenings – beautiful little plants and creatures which you might miss if you were in a hurry – even the way the days pass in the desert is a study – much time to think – for when the word of the Lord does come to pass there won’t be that time – it will be ‘all action’…

Love,

Andrew

Reconciliation versus Rejection…

I’ve been thinking quite a lot about rejection…

Living in the presence of rejection…

Dealing with it ‘up close and personal’…

I was on my run just before and the Lord showed me that people who struggle with rejection, who have that spirit hanging around them or latched onto them in their flesh, just need to know that they have been reconciled to God…

And that to be reconciled to God means that you are completely accepted and welcomed into His arms as a little child completely and unconditionally welcomed by its father…

Reconciliation isn’t like the prodigal son returning expecting to be made a slave but its like the expectant father waiting for the free will return of his child so he can throw a great party – a banquet – and celebrate…

No matter how ‘up front and personal’ the rejection we face (maybe on a day to day basis with no hope of escape) in the human plane we are absolutely and unconditionally accepted and reconciled to God on the spiritual or eternal level…

The Lord showed me a while back that even after Satan’s fall the Lord didn’t kick him out of heaven but let him hang around doing what he was doing and that the Lord put up with it…

Why is that?  We see it in Job, we read of it in Revelation…

Why is that?  He told me that He would rather have him hanging around there than bothering us by being permanently stationed down here…

We know that right at the end he, Satan, will be permanently stationed down here after there is war in heaven…

But at the moment the Lord is protecting us and putting up with Satan’s presence in heaven…

So the Lord has the worship of the angels with all the ‘holiness’ that they proclaim and then he has the devil with all of what he brings – accusation and condemnation and unbelief and challenge to His Authority and questioning and trying to trip God up on His own holiness…

What a patient God we have…

It puts our own struggles with living in the presence of rejection – whoever that might come through – at home, at work, at school, at church, in our extended families or wherever else – into perspective…

God is patient, He doesn’t get rid of the problem necessarily – so that prayer isn’t a ‘given’ to be answered, “Get rid of them Lord!” but the other prayer of, “Lord take over and live through me in this situation, Let me see You!”, that prayer will definitely be answered and we will marvel at His Patience…

(And many lessons are to be learnt in this place…)

Love You Lord,

Andrew

Joy versus Condemnation…

I’d been listening over and over and over again to the Rend Collective song, “Boldly I Approach” on our Waitangi Day holiday which we had over here in New Zealand on Monday…

Just this morning as I was getting dressed for work I suddenly twigged…

The Joy of the Lord is our strength…

I’d known that but I’d never known where the Joy came from or why…

Then I suddenly twigged…

“There is therefore now no condemnation”…

Romans 8:1 provides the substance for the reality of Nehemiah 8:10…

Or stated another way, because there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus we – those who are in Christ Jesus and have the knowledge of this revelation burning within our hearts,  living within our hearts – experience the Joy of the Lord as our strength…

Yes, this is the truth…

That’s why we often meet some quite sad Christians…

They don’t know that there is therefore now no condemnation for them…

They are living under condemnation and striving to do better and thus are not filled with the Lord’s Joy…

It’s that simple…

Leave behind condemnation and experience the Lord’s joy…

As I was listening to “Boldly I Approach” over and over and over – I had it on ‘loop’ – I was seeing how black and white God is on this subject…

If Jesus went all the way and took on himself our sin and says that He’s returning for salvation without reference to sin for those who are waiting eagerly for Him – that’s us – then it really is true that there will be no mention of sin when we meet Jesus…

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. (Hebrews 9:28 NASB)

He can’t mention it…

He paid for it…

He abolished it…

His Father can’t resurrect it…

It is gone…

And we are accepted…

That is why “Blameless now I’m running home” as Rend Collective so eloquently state…

“Into the Arms of Majesty”…

http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/rendcollectiveexperiment/boldlyiapproachtheartofcelebration.html

I’d never seen myself as running to my Daddy before…

And as I listened I realized that this is exactly what I should be doing…

As I stood in our kitchen doing the dishes and reflecting I asked God to give me a big hug…

I hadn’t asked that or seen that before…

That is what I needed – a big hug from my Daddy…

For the Father truly is my Daddy…

And it is all His doing…

His Righteousness has been applied to my life and as Rend Collective again so eloquently stated, “And shields my soul eternally”…

My soul is re-born, I have a new spirit and a new heart and a righteous soul which is protected from the evil one so that he cannot touch it…

We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. (1 John 5:18 NASB)

I am safe, I died and my life is now hidden with Christ in God…

The evil one cannot touch my new creation, it is righteous forever…

This brings us great joy and great rejoicing…

The Lord dances and sings over us…

He love us…

We are so blessed…

Those who have given ourselves to Him…

Love You Lord…

Thank You for Your Joy…

In Your Blood Alone we take refuge…

🙂

Boldly I Approach – Rend Collective…

This has really touched my heart… 🙂

Praise You Jesus… 🙂

This is the truth of God…

This is the Grace in which I stand…

Alone…

Nothing else…

His Grace…

I love you Lord…

You conquer all…

And when You rise over me no one can stop You…

You are Enough…

Rise Lord, rise over me…

Shatter the remaining power of the enemy over my life and over Your Church…

You are Enough for us and You are Enough for me…

I entrust myself to Your Blood…

I love You…

Let Your angels be strong over Your Church, let them fight and let them disperse the enemy and his hordes…

Let us fight in the power of God, lifted up by Grace alone to stand and to declare that we are free and that there is not a single chain which will stand – as Rend Collective said in another song “More Than Conquerors” – I stand with my brothers and sister in this – there is no chain which is not breakable – no chain and there will be no chain practically which remains over Your Church – we will be free…

Eternally free…

And on this earth we will know You – this last generation – in freedom…

In Grace alone…

Lift us up that we may know You and worship You in freedom…

Absolute freedom…

Yes the knowledge of freedom but also practical freedom…

I see it…

You will do it…

Thank You Lord…

We will see it…

You are doing it…

I love You…
