More than Conquerors…

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

No matter how you look at it those whom God has chosen for salvation are more than conquerors… 🙂

Even if we are overcome by sin and struggle and are oppressed by the enemy of our souls and even if we lose a few battles or even a significant number of battles we are still overwhelmingly conquerors through Him that loved us…

You may say to me, “How can that be?”…

Through personal experience I can say to you that this has been the case in my life…

My heart has always – from the age of three is my first memory of this – desired the things of God, I was saved at age five where I gave my “bundle of sin” to the Lord and knew that He’d “done something” on the cross to forgive me so that I didn’t need to go to hell, I knew that I would go to hell if I didn’t give Him my “bundle of sin” and when He reminded me at age eleven that since I’d given myself to Him I really needed to do what He told me to do it didn’t come as a surprise to me, I knew that this was right and I just got on with trying the best that I knew how, to do what I thought He was telling me to do…

There were a number of things in my background – my Dad was saved out of a Free Masonry background (his father had been involved with the Free Masons) and the Lord subsequently showed me that on my Mum’s side (way, way, back) there had been involvement with the Druids in England – that started to surface as the years went by which really started to concern me…

I saw in myself “all manner of evil” and was appalled by the depth of depravity that I started to see…

This “eye-opening” or “awakening” led me in my early twenties into a downward spiral which ended in a “great depression” in which I honestly believed that I’d “lost my salvation”…

I spent three agonizing months “in the pit of hell” where all my previous assurance that “it was well with my soul” was stripped away from me and I was left hearing the demonic voices tormenting me that I was the person in Hebrews 6 who had been “lost forever”…

No matter what I did, or no matter what I prayed “the heavens were as brass”…

The Lord showed me during this time that I was “Adam”, that I was “the man” and that I was “the sinner”, it was literally is if it was me in the Garden of Eden who had disobeyed God and eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, I had no one else to blame, I was the cause of all the evil in the world, It was me and my wife (although I was not married at the time) who had stood and represented the human race and given a perfect relationship with God, a perfect relationship with each other and a perfect place to live had rebelled against God and decided, each in our own heart, that we knew better and would make our own way…

Even after coming to this understanding and committing it to the Lord in prayer, admitting that I was the sinner, that I was responsible for the sin of the world, the heavens were still “brass”…

Next He showed me that everything I’d done up to that point in time – I thought I’d done quite a few things for God – had all been done for my own glory…

I hadn’t done anything for His glory…

I genuinely begged God to give me a heart which would do things for His glory and tried to “get right with Him” on this basis but again, “the heavens were like brass”…

The demonic voices were telling me to kill myself but I loved myself too much (another sin) to do this although I thought eventually that I’d probably give in to them but I knew that if I could just stay alive there was hope, for as long as I was alive there was a possibility that God would have mercy on me and save me (I honestly believed I’d lost my salvation)…

It was on my twenty fourth birthday that I was wandering around in our garden and I just said to the Lord, “I give up, if I go to hell, I go to hell”…

I knew what I was saying, nothing I’d done had made any difference and I was just letting go of any further effort to improve the situation…

In an instant, as the thoughts were still finishing in my mind, as if the lights went back on or a mains power switch was turned back on, my faith was turned back on and I knew that I’d been saved all that time, I knew again that I was in a relationship with God, I was right with God and I knew for the first time that even when I gave up completely God was there to catch me and set me back upon the Rock – who is Christ Jesus…

Hallelujah!!!

O Praise God, I became very keen for God, I became very keen to spend time in prayer because I wanted to experience God, I became very keen to seek out opportunities where I could experience the Holy Spirit…

There were still issues – the one’s from my background which I mentioned earlier – which were not broken but the Lord showed me through what happened that He would deal with those in His own time…

Even with those issues still “alive” in me, He’d delivered me and accepted me and was wanting to establish a relationship with me not on the basis of my performance but on the basis that I was His son…

I will not continue my testimony at this point, but will continue that since I am his son, I am acceptable to Him by the Blood of Jesus and by the fact that I died – my old self – and that I – my old self – no longer live…

In the eyes of God I am no longer under the dominion of darkness because I – my old self – died, just as the scripture says, “the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives…” so now that I – my old self – is dead I am no longer under the dominion of darkness but am “alive to another” that I might “bear fruit for God” as the scripture says…

When the truth that all my sins have been paid for – past, present and future – and that I am right now “forgiven” dawned on me rather than letting out a great “Woohoo!” and rushing headlong into unbridled sin I suddenly realised the freedom which had been bought for me by Christ and wanted to know Him better…

I also began to realise – as the years went on – that where sin remained, I was to wait patiently for the Lord to remove it from me, knowing that I was powerless to remove it from myself…

The Lord began to teach me that where He’d given me a promise that He would remove a certain sin from me I was to receive this in simple faith, “Thank You Lord” and not to try and do anything to help Him but to “wait for it patiently”…

I have found Him to be faithful in this process to remove the root of these sins – from my positionally dead old self – by the imposition of His truth in my new self, giving me understanding of His truth in my “innermost being”…

So whether it was from my background or from the devil or from my old self He will remove it “in His time” as the song says…

So in all these things, I overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved me…

Even when I stand fully aware of a sin, a present sin, which He has not dealt with the root of yet in my life, as I raise my hands to Him in prayer, giving Him this sin, not wanting it, but waiting on Him to remove it, I am still a conqueror through Him who loved me, I am still not under condemnation because, “who can bring a charge against God’s elect?” as the scripture says…

“It is God who justifies, who is he who condemns?” as the scripture says…

As I have come to the Lord in intercessory prayer, the devil has often come in with his condemning voice, sharply – like great arrows piercing into my soul – making his accusations against me endeavouring to stop me from petitioning before the Throne of Grace, as I wait upon the Lord – and although at times I am confused by his lying voice – I am led by the Lord to raise my hands and give myself and these accusations to Him for Him to deal with in His time and for me to continue to wait upon Him in prayer…

In this place of peace I have had great experiences of overcoming “by the Blood of the Lamb” and the word of my testimony that I am under the Blood of the Lamb and that I am righteous in His sight by the Blood of the Lamb and that I can draw near to God with great confidence in intercessory prayer being true to the Lord to the measure that I have received from Him at that point in time and to keep praying and receiving from Him what He wants me to pray and speak forth as He leads me…

“This is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith” as the scripture says…

The truth for every Blood bought saint of God is that we do not “regard inquity in our hearts” – because our new hearts, which are defined by God as “us” were “created in all holiness and righteousness of the truth” as the scripture tells us and our new hearts long to please the Lord and “delight in the law of God” as the scripture tells us…

It is those who “regard inquity in their hearts” that the Lord does not hear but those of us who have a “new heart” do not regard iniquity in our hearts because at salvation we gave our “bundle of sin” to the Lord and turned away – repented – from our sin as a way of life and gave it to the Lord for Him to establish His righteousness in us…

The practical outworking of all this is that as the Holy Spirit calls us into prayer we do not need to try and “purify ourselves” to be ready we just need to surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit and follow His leading in prayer…

We do not need to be introspective, we just come into His presence knowing that we are “made holy” by the Blood of Jesus…

“And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.”

Heb 13:12 (NIV)

When the Lord puts His finger on sin in our lives and gives us the revelation of His truth in our hearts, our new hearts, we will repent and confess this sin to Him and be delivered…

When confession occurs in this way, it is complete, we will not be going back time and time again confessing the same thing, yes, there will be “layers of the onion” but we will be set free…

“So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”

John 8:36 (NASB)

So we see that the oldest and youngest of intercessors are all on a level playing field with God, we are all members of one another, we are not competing with one another but we are members of one another and we are each powerful in the Hands of God to come into His presence by the Blood of Jesus knowing that we are seated in the heavenly realms in Christ – by the Blood of Jesus – and knowing that whatever He lays on our hearts to pray – under the leading of His Holy Spirit – who we have surrendered to – will be established by the Lord in heaven in the spiritual realm and in time will be established on earth in the physical realm also…

Can we see the power of this unity?  Not trying to “make ourselves holy enough to be heard” but knowing that we are holy and in simple obedience coming with empty hands before the Lord and reporting for duty and saying, “Here I am Lord, send me” – “Use me Lord to establish Your Kingdom in the hearts of men, women, boys and girls on this earth at this point in time”…

What power there is in the youngest and the oldest “coming boldly to the Throne of Grace” not just for ourselves but in intercession for whomever the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts…

Let it be so Lord in our generation, Glorify Your Name in all the earth, Create unity in the hearts of all Your children, Unity in the Spirit, Unity in intercessory prayer, Unity in understanding of our acceptance before You, Unity of understanding our forgiveness before You, Our cleanness before You, Our acceptance in the Beloved, “It is for freedom that Christ set us free”, O Lord let us know this freedom to the full measure that it is possible for us to know this freedom and let us “rejoice in the hope of eternal life” as the scripture says, in Jesus Name, Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit, Let Your peace fall on us all, Amen and Amen

The Valley of Dry Bones…

“The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.

He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry.

He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.”

Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.’

Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life.

I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the LORD.'”

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.

And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them.

Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.”‘”

So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.”

The Lord has laid it on my heart to complete this post today (tonight now 🙂 )…

To be honest I’ve been avoiding “bringing forth” what the Lord has shown me regarding this scripture which, looking back, has been “building” on my heart for a number of years…

What I have seen in this scripture is challenging to my faith and I believe it but I have doubted – maybe wrongly – that others will believe it and so I’ve been reticent  – again maybe wrongly (in fact I think wrongly 🙂 ) – to “proclaim it”…

Well, the day has come and here goes…

There is a day coming and now is when those who are dead will hear His Voice…

They will hear His Voice and they will come to life…

They will arise to their feet and serve the King of Kings…

They will not hesitate in unbelief but they will hear His Voice and obey…

They will go where He tells them to go and do what He tells them to do…

They will arise in the spirit and power of Elijah and do exploits in this world for the Glory of the Most High God…

They will be filled with a Holy Boldness which the Prophet Elijah exhibited against the prophets of baal and against the wicked king Ahab and against his wicked wife queen Jezebel…

They will stand in the power of the Holy Spirit and speak truth, with great boldness and fearlessness, against all the wickedness which is now practiced in this world…

They will be hated by many and loved by those who are coming to the truth…

Those who are coming to the truth of salvation in the Name of Jesus and by His shed Blood alone will love and accept the word spoken by these endued with the spirit and power of Elijah…

God is going to turn the hearts of the fathers to the hearts of the children…

The curse of rebellion will be removed from those who receive this liberation from the Holy Spirit, there will be unity amongst the Body of Christ on this earth, unity between all who “name the Name of the Lord from a pure heart”…

They will move together, regardless of age, station in life, gender, socio-economic status, race, education and calling and operate as a unit – a mighty army – each in their appropriate position – as appointed by the Holy Spirit – under the Directorship of the Holy Spirit of the Living God…

They will not seek political power, they will not seek to “change the world” in some “cosmetic way”, they will not seek “social reform” or “social justice” or “crusade” for the rights of the “oppressed” or “downtrodden” to be established in the physical realm, they will not see humanity as “victims” but rather as guilty perpetrators of rebellion against God, suffering the just outworkings of their actions…

They will seek the rightness of the hearts of all mankind with their Maker – the LORD God Almighty…

They will seek the kingdom of God to come in the hearts and minds and souls and spirits of every man, woman, boy and girl alive and breathing on this planet…

They will not rest until every creature has heard the message of the Gospel…

They will not stop, they will not be deterred, they will not compromise or change their message for anyone no matter what opposition they encounter…

They will be filled with the Holy Spirit and they will prophesy in His Name and in His Holy Fire which will bring conviction to all who hear them and “those who are appointed to eternal life will believe” as the scripture says…

They will be opposed by all who “oppose themselves” and “reject God’s purpose for themselves” as the scripture says…

Just as in the days of John the Baptist, who operated in the spirit and power of Elijah, the Pharisees “rejected God’s purpose for themselves”, those who reject their message will be rejecting God’s purpose for themselves and denying themselves of the call to salvation by grace through faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ – “the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world”…

There will be no mercy for those who reject this clear call to salvation, they will condemn themselves and their condemnation will be just…

The Gospel is going to be preached in power, in the same power that it was preached on the day of Pentecost it will be preached all over the world by this army, who God is raising up from all over the world to preach His Gospel – the Gospel of the Grace of His Son Jesus Christ – and many will believe their message and inherit eternal life, they will join this army and the spread of the Gospel will continue…

The Holy Spirit is concerned for the hearts of men, women, boys and girls all over the world, He is not concerned – or primarily focused – regarding political systems or ideologies or outward manifestations of evil in the nations of the world, He is concerned – or primarily focused – with the hearts of the people and His concern is to change their hearts so that they will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ…

He is aware that once a person comes to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ they become “salt” and “light” to the world and will be more and more a preservative influence on the society in which they live, the change will be from the “inside out” and not from the “outside in”, He is seeking radical heart change in the hearts of those He brings to salvation and knows that once this is established they will touch others with Him as He leads them…

And all the earth shall see the Splendour of our God…

O God You are coming, You are coming in the Person of Your Holy Spirit to indwell Your saints and to fill them, to fill us, with Your Glory…

You will live through us Father in the power of Your Holy Spirit and You will accomplish through us, Your Church, what You have on Your heart to accomplish at this point in history…

We are at Your disposal O Lord, to do through us whatever it is that You have on Your heart to do, use us Lord, we stand here in Your presence tonight like a valley of dry bones waiting for Your breath to come and breathe on us that we might live, Yes Lord, we have Your Spirit living within us but we do not have the power that comes from the complete possession of our entire beings by Your Holy Spirit, come in our emptiness tonight Father, in our admission of our emptiness – we are just dry bones waiting for You to fill us – and fill us for Your Glory – take full possession of what is already Your possession, our bodies, for the Glory of Your Name…

Live through us Father and let all the earth see “how great is our God” as the song says…

Save and deliver, restore and rectify, transform and translate us into the kingdom of Your Dear Son, into the demonstration of Your Dear Son, into the likeness of Your Dear Son, the Son whom You love…

O God rend the heavens and come down, let Righteousness flow before You and let rivers spring up in the desert…

Come Holy Spirit and breathe on these slain that they may come to life…

Breathe on us O Sovereign LORD that we might come to life, that we would come to life and rise to our feet a vast army all over the world this night Father let us rise in the power of the Holy Spirit and feel His breath coming within us to rise to our feet, a mighty army…

For the Glory of Your Name I pray this, in Jesus Name, so let it be, so let it be Lord, we give ourselves to You – empty – for this purpose, let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven through Your Church in this generation, Thank You Lord, Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name, Amen

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD…

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor…”

Isaiah 61:1-2a (NIV)

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, the whole earth is filled with His Glory…

Jesus came to the synagogue that morning after returning from His temptation in the desert where He overcame the devil by the word of His testimony and did not love His life unto death, in the power of the Holy Spirit…

As He opened the scroll and read from this passage in Isaiah, great awe fell upon all who heard Him…

“Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” He said…

This proclamation from the Holy Son of the Living God – God in human flesh – sparked the beginning of Jesus’ earthly ministry of which our lives, as the Church of the Living God, are an extension “until He comes”…

We are still in “the year of the LORD’s favour” and we are not yet in “the day of vengeance of our God” (Isaiah 61:2 NIV)…

As “the year of the LORD’s favour” tarries we must be about “our Father’s business”…

We are left on this earth to bring people to Jesus…

How are we going to bring people to Jesus?

We all feel – and I don’t care who we are – as children of the Living God, like failures at certain points of our walks with the Lord, we feel downtrodden, rejected, belittled, scorned, afflicted, spat upon, face rammed into the dust and twisted around like a pencil by our adversaries, we all know what it is like to not live up to our own “expectations” of what we “should be” and “should do” and “should achieve” in our own “estimation” of what our walk with the Lord “should be” like…

We know the feeling of failure, we know the feeling of depression and despondancy which comes with it…

We know the spirit of apathy that lurks behind that door of opportunity waiting to come in and put out the fire which is within us…

We know the attacks of the evil one to bring doubt and despondancy to our souls – hopelessness, crippling hopelessness and bondage to fear, unbelief and oppression…

We are all prisoners – even as children of the Most High God – to the tormenting spirits sent by the enemy to afflict us until “the Spirit of the Sovereign LORD” within us “rises with healing in His wings” as the scripture says…

We are sons and daughters of the Most High God, God Himself lives within us…

No matter how broken we are or have been or how long we have endured our affliction or been downtrodden there will come a time in each of our lives when the Holy Spirit within us will stand up within us and say “‘Enough! I will be Glorified through your life’, says the Lord, ‘You belong to Me and I will establish My Righteousness in you’, declares the Lord”…

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD… we forget what it means that the Lord is Sovereign, we forget what it means that the Lord is God, we forget what it means that the Lord is in complete control, we forget what it means that “all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be”, we forget what it means that, “All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can ward off His hand Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?'”…

We forget what it means when He says to us, “but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior” or “You are to be perfect as Your Heavenly Father is perfect”, we forget that it is the Sovereign LORD, the Spirit of the Sovereign LORD who accomplishes this promise within us for the Glory of His Holy Name, the Glory of the Father and the Glory of Jesus Christ our Lord – He, the Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – will receive the Glory for our lives because we belong to Him…

He is responsible to establish His Righteousness in our hearts and He will do it because it is His stated intention to do it, “this is the will of God, your sanctification” as the scripture says…

Time may pass, life may appear to pass us by, mistakes may be made, sorrow may be experienced, but there is a day coming for every saint when “the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with Healing in His Wings” and when He rises, no one can stand before Him…

He is a Mighty Warrior “He will rejoice over us with singing” as the scripture says…

He will war over us and He will be victorious…

Hallelujah!!!

I know in the spirit (the spiritual realm) that what I am saying is true…

There is a day of release coming for all the saints of God alive on planet earth at this time in history, it might not be the same day for every saint but it will be specific for each and every saint, when the Lord will break the yoke of oppression off our shoulders and we shall be set free…

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”

Isaiah 61:3-4 (KJV)

There will come a time in each of our lives where the truth of the word of the Lord to Jeremiah will become real in our own individual lives…

“So I say, “My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD.”

I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.

I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.

Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.

Let him bury his face in the dust—there may yet be hope.

Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.

For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.

Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.

For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.”

The Holy Spirit is a Person but He needs a body to inhabit, He needs a body to inhabit that He can control completely, He needs us to willingly surrender control of our bodies to Him that He can live through us, this is what Jesus did, the Holy Spirit lived through Jesus, the scripture tells us that “by the Eternal Spirit” Jesus “offered Himself without blemish to God”, it was the Holy Spirit – “now the Lord is the Spirit” – who lived through Jesus and it is the Holy Spirit who needs to live through us…

We are powerless to do anything for God, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” as scripture tells us…

It is The Anointing which destroys the yoke…

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

Isaiah 10:27 (KJV)

“So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

“For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.”

“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.

I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength’ Men will come to Him…”

The Blood of Jesus…

Father God, I have it on my heart tonight to magnify the Blood of Jesus, to magnify the Blood of Jesus, God’s Son, which purifies us from all sin…

Holy Father as we “walk in the light” – being real with You and our brothers and sisters in the Lord – “as You are in the light we have fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus, Your Son, purifies us from all sin” as Your word says…

“O the Blood of Jesus, O the Blood of Jesus, O the Blood of Jesus, It washes white as snow;

There is healing in the Blood of Jesus, Restoration in the Blood of Jesus, There is healing in the Blood of Jesus, It washes white as snow;

O the Blood of Jesus, O the Blood of Jesus, O the Blood of Jesus, It washes white as snow…”

as the song says…

We worship You Father for the Blood of Jesus which was shed for the forgiveness of our sins, we worship You that “by one sacrifice You have made perfect forever those who are being made holy” as Your word says…

We worship You that You Jesus “made peace by the Blood of Your cross” that in You “we have redemption through Your Blood the forgiveness of our tresspasses” as Your word says…

We exalt You that our names are written in heaven and “though our sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow”, all around the world your “saints in waiting” – those who are to be added to Your Church – are under this promise, I speak prophetically tonight to those “who will inherit salvation” and I say to you in the power of the Holy Spirit, “though your sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow, though they be red as crimson they shall be like wool”…

Worshipping in spirit and in truth…

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.”

Jesus spoke these words to the woman at the well in John 4:23 (NASB) and He looked into her heart and knew that even though she was a sinful woman she had a heart which was seeking after God and it is this heart which is so precious in the sight of God…

Even after we come to faith in Christ there is still sin in our hearts which the Holy Spirit goes to work on to remove, bit by bit, for His Glory…

Some have amazing conversion experiences where a lot of sin “falls off them” in one “fell swoop”…

Others have a conversion experience where they realise they are sinners, give the “bundle” of sin in it’s entirety to God, know they are letting it go, don’t want it anymore and then wait for a long time before certain aspects of what they’ve “surrendered” “fall off” in reality in their lives…

I personally have been in the second category and have seen the faithfulness of God over the years removing more and more of “cancelled sin” (Charles Wesley’s famous hymn “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing”)…

The amazing thing is that the Lord is not waiting for us to be perfect before we can come into His presence and worship Him, He tells us to come and to worship Him “in spirit and in truth”…

He does not tell us to come and pretend that we are something that we are not…

He does not tell us to come and try and fool our fellow worshippers into thinking that we are something that we are not…

He tells us to come, whether it be before Him in private or before Him in corporate worship and worship Him from our hearts to the degree in which we have been set free by His Holy Spirit…

The same is true in intercession…

We have authority in the areas in which He has “set us free”, these are the areas – or places – of intercession in which we have authority to pray that the Lord would release others as He leads us…

He is not calling us to pray in areas in which we have not yet been released ourselves…

He is establishing all things in us so that they may be “beautiful in His time” as the scripture says…

We are to enjoy His presence and to worship Him in spirit and in truth knowing that we are “accepted in the Beloved” as scripture says…

Hallelujah Father, open our eyes to see our position in Christ, that we are “accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Eph 1:6b-7 KJV) and that all things belong to us, “the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God” (1 Cor 3:22b-23 NASB) and also that, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Rom 8:32 NASB)…

“Freely give us all things”… O Hallelujah Father, You will freely give us “all things pertaining to life and godliness through our knowledge of You who called us by Your own glory and goodness” as scripture says…

We are so blessed… Thank You Father for the transformation process which is going on in our lives to make us more like Jesus, Thank You Father that as this process continues, every step along the way, we can worship You in spirit and in truth, with a sincere and honest heart before You as we allow You to transform us into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus Christ, God blessed forever, Amen and Amen…

The Kingdom of God is within you…

Jesus said:

“for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

(Luke 17:21b KJV)

The Lord has really been showing me recently just exactly what this means in terms of world wide revival and His focus on the hearts of men, women, boys and girls all around the world…

When Jesus was on the cross He took upon Himself all of the sin of every man, woman, boy and girl who had ever lived, was living or was yet to live…

He finished His intercession on the cross with the words “It is finished” but before finishing He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”…

We each crucified Jesus to that cross and we each did not know what we were doing and we each have had the word of the Lord Jesus spoken to the Father “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”…

It is the Father’s perogative who He is going to save, Jesus has made “the propitiation for our sins but not for our sins only but for the sins of the whole world” scripture tells us…

All those whom the Father gives to Jesus “will come to Him” and anyone who comes to Jesus, Jesus “will in no wise cast out” scripture tells us…

So “the kingdom of God is within us”, those of us who have been chosen by God for salvation and given to Jesus by the Father, set apart for His glory, given to Jesus as His Bride, His Church, His Body on this earth…

We are the “called, chosen and faithful” as scripture tells us…

Now all around the world the Father is giving more and more souls to Jesus for the Holy Spirit to “cause to be born again” as scripture tells us, for “light to shine out of darkness” and “shine in our hearts the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” as scripture tells us…

All this occurs in the heart, all this is unseen, but the results of this become manifest in a changed life and a life which is, in increasing measures, lived for the glory of God…

“Do you not know that you are not your own? You have been bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body” as scripture tells us…

This word comes true in our lives because it is spoken by “the One who calls us”, who is “faithful” and who will “bring it to pass”…

As the kingdom of God grows within us we begin to seek unity with those others in whom the Holy Spirit is creating this kingdom, unity in the Spirit in the bond of peace…

God is looking for worshippers who worship Him in spirit and in truth, these are the kind of worshippers which He seeks, this has everything to do with the heart…

This is the revival which God is establishing in His Church at this point in history, it is a revival of the heart, turning our hearts towards Him again…

The result of this “hidden” action will eventually result in a very “un-hidden” manifestation of passionate love for God being unleashed through these members of His Church who have had the kingdom of God growing in their hearts to demonstrate His love and His truth to all they come in contact with, they will fear no one and will be very bold in doing what the Lord tells them to do, their aim will be plain and simple, to establish the kindgom of God within the hearts of more and more souls which have been given to Jesus by the Father…

To bring in the harvest of souls which will make up the full number of “the Church of the Firstborn, who’s names are written in heaven” as scripture tells us…

We are fellow-workers with God in His mission to bring in His harvest and He has told us to “pray that the Lord of the Harvest will send forth labourers into His harvest field”…

We are His labourers, whatever He has established in us of Himself to this point in time we can establish in others through intercessory prayer and also through personal testimony and witness as He leads us into contact with others who He is drawing to Himself…

As the song by Roy Turner (Kingsway’s Thankyou Music 1984) says in it’s first verse:

“All over the world the Spirit is moving
All over the world as the prophet said it would be
All over the world there’s a mighty revelation
Of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”

This work is going on, it may not be met by fanfares and adulation but by faith and by the Spirit within us we know as we pray that it is going on and we rejoice that the kingdom is advancing and that “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”…

Praise You Jesus, in the words of another song by Dave Richards (Kingsway’s Thankyou Music 1977):

And I’m making a people of praise
That will move through this land by My Spirit
And will glorify My precious name

Build Your church, Lord
Make us strong, Lord
Join our hearts, Lord, through Your Son

In the kingdom of Your Son”

Hallelujah Father, work through us all to establish Your kingdom in the hearts of those who You have chosen for salvation “not from among the Jews only but also from among the Gentiles” in Jesus Name by the power of the Holy Spirit, so let it be, Amen and Amen…

Waiting on the Lord…

I have been greatly blessed in my own personal life to come to an understanding of what it means to “wait upon the Lord” and what it means to “gain new strength” through this process…

When I was around 20 years old the Lord gave me a scripture which I just knew was “for me” from Lam 3:24-29 (NIV):

“I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;

it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.

It is good for a man to bear the yoke
while he is young.

Let him sit alone in silence,
for the LORD has laid it on him.

Let him bury his face in the dust—
there may yet be hope.”

Sometimes we hear things from God, a promise or a word or a vision of something which the Lord is going to do in us or through us or in the world or in His Church or in the spiritual realm and we go out there and try to “help God” to make it happen…

What the Lord has been showing me over the intervening years is that He really doesn’t need my help to accomplish His purposes in my life or in anyone else’s life or in the world or in the spiritual realm, He will establish in me in His own timing everything which is necessary for me to play my part in His plans for His own Glory as He establishes His truth in my heart…

Establishing “a place of intercession” – a concept I learnt from reading “Rees Howells Intercessor” by Norman Grubb when I was around 23 years old – is about the Lord establishing in me an understanding of His truth in a certain area via revealing this to my new heart and new spirit so that I understand it and begin to naturally live it and the old heart and old spirit no longer live in that area and once He does this I am free to intercede for anyone else that the Lord places on my heart with respect to that area because He has established “a place of intercession” in my heart for that area…

In this place of waiting on the Lord we are not striving for the attainment of more “places of intercession” but we are surrendered to the process of the Lord establishing them in us – because we know He has promised to do this – in His own time and for His own glory…

Remembering that Jesus said:

“for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

(Luke 17:21b KJV)

Thus we “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord”…

Thus we realise that “the battle is not ours but God’s”…

Thus we go forth with singing praising God for the victory which He is going to manifest in our lives, “from glory to glory as of by the Lord, the Spirit”…

We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us…

As we wait upon the Lord we gain new strength, we rise up on wings like eagles, we run and do not grow weary, we walk and do not faint…

This is what Jesus talked about when He said:

“I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.

Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.

All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

(Matt 11:25-30 NASB)

Praise You Jesus for Your “light yoke”… 🙂

Amazing Grace…

I’ve been very affected by the song by Chris Tomlin, “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” incorporating lyrics from John Newton’s famous hymn “Amazing Grace” and would like to provide a link to this music video below:

One thing that the Lord has showed me is that in the first verse of John Newton’s famous hymn, where he says, “That saved a wretch like me” is that I, now that I know that I am a new creation in Christ, can no longer sing that line in the present tense, because in the sight of God I am no longer a wretch but am “accepted in the Beloved” as scripture tells me…

Because of the Lord’s great love to me, “while I was yet a sinner”, when Christ died for me, I am now a “saint by calling”, “because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy” (Heb 10:14 NIV), we are, as the elect of God, already holy in the sight of God in the spirit (the spiritual realm) and are practically being made holy by the Holy Spirit in the physical (the physical realm) as He, the Holy Spirit, reveals His truth “to our innermost beings” as scripture tells us…

“The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures” (John Newton) – O Praise You Jesus that You paid the penalty and have opened the way into the Holy of Holies that by Your Blood, Your shed Blood we can “come boldly to the Throne of Grace to find grace to help in time of need” as Your scripture says…

Thank You Jesus for Your sanctifying work in the life of all who are Yours, You love us and sanctify us and make us like You, You are truly the Lover of our souls, You delight over us with singing and we are the apple of Your eye…

Thank You Jesus for Your faithfulness to me over the course of my life to date (nearly 39 years), I love You Lord and I especially love You for Your great faithfulness in Your lovingkindness towards me in Christ Jesus that “while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me”…

Praise You Jesus that You paid the penalty which released me from the penalty of sin and which is, as the days go by, releasing me, more and more, from the practice of sin in my life as You establish Your life in me…

I worship You Lord that Your grace is sufficient for me for Your power is made perfect in my admission of weakness…

In weakness, in knowing that I am weak – that I am incapable of doing anything which can please You – then I am strong – when Your Spirit rises up within me and lives through me, bringing glory to Your Name…

You are an Awesome God and we praise You, You are worthy of all our praise, from all around the world tonight Father God, You are worthy of all our praise, whatever praise we have within us, You are worthy of it, in the mighty Name of Jesus, be Glorified, Thank You Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name, Amen and Amen…

Rest…

Father, in Jesus Name, I pray that we as Your Church would truly enter into Your rest…

That we would enter into the rest which You purchased for us with Your own Blood on the cross…

That we would come to that place where we accept what You have done for us in simple gratitude and thankfulness and in our acceptance would give You the Glory by just resting in Your Finished Work…

Thank You Father that You are high and lifted up and that Your train fills the temple, You are high above all else and You have seated us with Christ in the Heavenly Realms far above all rule and authority and every name that is named that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father…

Thank You Jesus for the priviledge of confessing You as Lord, of confessing You as our Saviour and Redeemer and Friend, O Lord let us confess You with our lives by ceasing striving and knowing in our own personal lives that You are God…

You are exalted Lord and let us declare it in peace and boldness, in rest and quietness, in confidence and in security, in power and in passion, in zeal and in love…

Let us declare Your truth in righteousness and yet with meekness and lowliness, in peace but with great steadfastness…

I sense in my heart Father that the truth spoken out of this place of peace is immutable and powerful and will destroy strongholds and principalities and powers and will rock the very core of the enemy’s authority structure over nations…

This is the kind of prayer which I sense the Father is calling us as His Church to pray…

To come to Him in humble expectation and to wait on Him to rise up within us and lead us into prayer and into exaltation of His Name and as we do this watch as satan’s kingdom crumbles…

We overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony and we did not love our lives unto death…

Let us join together in such prayer, coming out of a heart of worship, coming from a place of peace, of rest, of tranquility in the Lord and a place where the still small voice of the Holy Spirit is heard and where the Voice of God can rise within us without fear or striving to speak forth the truth which He has to proclaim in intercessory prayer…

He is our example, He ever lives to make intercession for us, Let us ever live to allow Him to make intercession through us, for the Glory of His Holy Name, the Name of Jesus, Amen and Amen…

Father, in Jesus Name…

Father, in Jesus Name, I come before You in the Blood of Jesus and I dedicate this blogsite, “a house of prayer for the nations – prophetic intercession for world wide revival” to You for Your Glory…

O Holy Spirit come and inhabit this blogsite, oversee it, control it, monitor it, indwell every aspect of it, be the Wisdom behind it, be the Discernment behind it, let Your Peace and Presence fill it and possess it and use it for Your Glory, to bring Honour and Glory to the Name of the Father and to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ – God in human flesh, the Name Above All Names – to fulfil Your purposes in this earth at this point in time through Your Church, the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, Your Chosen Vessel Father on this earth at this point in history…

Father God, I pray for all who will post here that they would be blessed by the Holy Spirit and by You Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit so that they would be able to realise their full calling and potential in You and fulfil their destinies in You Father for the praise of Your Glory…

Lead us Lord in prayer, show us what is on Your heart at this point in time for Your Church and for the souls whom You are bringing into Your Kingdom at this point in time throughout the world…

Glorify Your Name in all the earth Father, let the Name of Jesus Christ be exalted above all other names, let the power of the Holy Spirit be evidenced all around the world to bring people to a knowledge of You through the working of the Holy Spirit in their hearts…

Bring unity to Your Body all around the world Father of which Jesus Christ is the Head and establish “the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” amongst all who are Yours all over the world at this point in time…

Exalt Your Name Father and presence Yourself amongst us your saints here on this blogsite for the Glory of Your Name and for the Glory of the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Thank You Father, Thank You Holy Spirit, Bless this blogsite and run it for Your own glory, in Jesus Name, Amen and Amen…
