“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.”
Jesus spoke these words to the woman at the well in John 4:23 (NASB) and He looked into her heart and knew that even though she was a sinful woman she had a heart which was seeking after God and it is this heart which is so precious in the sight of God…
I feel led to post the music video to the song, “Come, Now is the Time to Worship” by Brian Doerksen found at the link below:

Even after we come to faith in Christ there is still sin in our hearts which the Holy Spirit goes to work on to remove, bit by bit, for His Glory…
Some have amazing conversion experiences where a lot of sin “falls off them” in one “fell swoop”…
Others have a conversion experience where they realise they are sinners, give the “bundle” of sin in it’s entirety to God, know they are letting it go, don’t want it anymore and then wait for a long time before certain aspects of what they’ve “surrendered” “fall off” in reality in their lives…
I personally have been in the second category and have seen the faithfulness of God over the years removing more and more of “cancelled sin” (Charles Wesley’s famous hymn “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing”)…
The amazing thing is that the Lord is not waiting for us to be perfect before we can come into His presence and worship Him, He tells us to come and to worship Him “in spirit and in truth”…
He does not tell us to come and pretend that we are something that we are not…
He does not tell us to come and try and fool our fellow worshippers into thinking that we are something that we are not…
He tells us to come, whether it be before Him in private or before Him in corporate worship and worship Him from our hearts to the degree in which we have been set free by His Holy Spirit…
The same is true in intercession…
We have authority in the areas in which He has “set us free”, these are the areas – or places – of intercession in which we have authority to pray that the Lord would release others as He leads us…
He is not calling us to pray in areas in which we have not yet been released ourselves…
He is establishing all things in us so that they may be “beautiful in His time” as the scripture says…
We are to enjoy His presence and to worship Him in spirit and in truth knowing that we are “accepted in the Beloved” as scripture says…
Hallelujah Father, open our eyes to see our position in Christ, that we are “accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Eph 1:6b-7 KJV) and that all things belong to us, “the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God” (1 Cor 3:22b-23 NASB) and also that, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Rom 8:32 NASB)…
“Freely give us all things”… O Hallelujah Father, You will freely give us “all things pertaining to life and godliness through our knowledge of You who called us by Your own glory and goodness” as scripture says…
We are so blessed… Thank You Father for the transformation process which is going on in our lives to make us more like Jesus, Thank You Father that as this process continues, every step along the way, we can worship You in spirit and in truth, with a sincere and honest heart before You as we allow You to transform us into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus Christ, God blessed forever, Amen and Amen…
