Hi Scott,

I write this open letter to you (based on this article from a few years back where you identified yourself as “an Evangelical Protestant”) as a fellow believer in Jesus (i.e. as my brother in Christ).

As “an Evangelical Protestant” you would have had (as I did) at some point in your life that ‘born again’ experience where you realized that you were a sinner, that there was nothing you could do to save yourself from your sin and the eternal consequences of your sin and where you asked Jesus based on His Blood shed for you on the cross to forgive you for all your sins and take over your life, giving your life to Him, as Lord, to do whatever He wanted with your life for the rest of your life.

You, like me, would also have had that moment where you realised that the scriptures were your rule for what God has expressed as objective truth for our lives as believers in Jesus.

Esther in scripture was chosen to be the new wife of Persian king Ahasuerus (the then most powerful man in the world) because of her beauty (even though she chose not to make known to Ahasuerus her Jewish ethnicity before he made this choice) but shortly after being made queen when a plot was revealed by Haman to endeavour to obliterate the Jewish people (who were living dispersed in Persia at the time) she bravely risked her life to go before the king by way of appeal, to plead for the life of her people.

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NASB)

Upon your recent election victory, you said, “I have always believed in miracles”. I believe that God’s purpose for you in being appointed as the Prime Minister of Australia is, “for such a time as this”.

You have been given the opportunity to establish freedom of speech and freedom of worship in Australia. I have spoken about what that might look like in this article and also this article.

You are Esther, Israel Folau is Mordecai, each and every one of your brothers and sisters in Christ are the Jewish people, those who oppose freedom of speech and freedom of worship in Australia are Haman and the Australian Government is Ahasuerus.

When Haman saw that Mordecai neither bowed down nor paid homage to him, Haman was filled with rage. (Esther 3:5 NASB)

You have been given your platform by God to protect the freedom of speech and freedom of worship of all Australians, to give to the Jewish people the right to defend themselves against the attack of Haman who received from Ahasuerus before Esther intervened a legal extermination order on their entire race, as is manifest in Australia today.

“Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens also will fast in the same way. And thus I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:16 NASB)

This is your call, this is why you have been placed in office. Fulfil your call, protect the freedom of speech and freedom of worship of all Australians. Towards this end, the Lord will be with you.
