I woke up this morning with this phrase on my mind…
We are not limited by space and time…
The scripture which immediately came to mind was the following:
For even though I am absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good discipline and the stability of your faith in Christ. (Colossians 2:5 NASB)
Paul was absent from the believers in body but present in spirit…
How was this possible?
Because he had them in his heart…
For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me. (Philippians 1:7 NASB)
And He carried the churches…
Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches. (2 Corinthians 11:28 NASB)
So in that sense he was in their hearts and they were in his…
They were intertwined like we are one spirit with the Lord…
He couldn’t help but feel their pain and share their joy – he was bound up (in a good sense) with them and with their wellbeing – just as the Lord is bound up (in a good sense) with us…
Jacob’s life was bound up with the life of Benjamin his son (this wasn’t a good thing) but the bound up which I am talking about was a good thing…
I know it…
You can’t get rid of it…
It is with you continually…
Though you are separated by space and time you are not separated – you see what you need to see and know what you need to know…
As you let go – as you let go of wanting to know and wanting to fix the problems – He releases more insight into the problems…
You feel His feelings – you know His Heart…
Time…
The Lord speaks in the present things as having been completed when they haven’t even yet been created…
I have been ‘catching up’ (i.e. needing to ‘get with the programme’) with the Lord in my conversations with Him…
He will speak to me about things being completed and I get all excited but then see practically that they are not…
That is because the Lord speaks outside of time – He speaks in the present continuous across all of time…
He can stand with me in 2014 and say something for a hundred years from now as if it is happening right now and has already happened…
He has done this with me…
It marvels me…
It shocks me…
He is outside of time and not bound by time…
He is standing on the outside of time and speaking in to time whenever He wants to…
This is the prophetic…
The Prophets of old spoke of things which have yet to be accomplished…
So much of the word – the scripture – has yet to be accomplished…
Prophesy is written differently to written instruction…
Line upon line, precept upon precept for written instruction or teaching…
But prophecies in scripture are recorded as visions and the visions change and are not sequential – He has done this to stop man with his intellect trying to interpret prophecies…
But this has not helped…
Man in his wisdom has tried to interpret God’s prophecies even though some of them are sealed up until the time of the end – man has still tried…
Prophetic revelation is by the Spirit…
And it can come to the most unlearned…
By the Spirit…
We must hear the Voice of the Spirit – speaking outside of time – “Let there by Light” – and as we hear we will get revelation – trust the Voice of the Spirit – He is speaking to you – share what He tells you – it will be confirmed by others – this – prophesy – is a team sport – not an individual pursuit…
We know in part and we prophesy in part…
But God stands outside of space and time – He controls both – He orchestrates both…
You are not limited by your present location…
Right now – as led by the Spirit – you can change events all over the world right from your desk at work – or your sink bench in your kitchen…
You can…
And you do…
Every time you pray in tongues you change the course of history…
Any words in your native tongue which you receive as you pray in tongues – speak them out – they will surely come to pass – don’t strive – don’t try to speak in tongues – just let it happen as He does it inside you – and then trust the words He gives you – you are – right from where you are – changing the world…
