I guess this is a similar post to “Waiting on His Word”…

This is just what I’m “going through” at present…

My sheep hear My Voice…

Deep down we know…

We know when the Lord is speaking to us…

We know what He has promised us…

We wait…

We feel the pain in our waiting…

We give up…

We try harder…

We give up…

We realise we can’t believe…

We keep believing anyway – He does within us…

Sometimes it’s really hard to see the difference between ourselves and our flesh…

Him through us and our flesh…

Our new heart and our flesh…

That’s the crucible of waiting…

It’s in this place of death where what is us (what used to be us) – our flesh – is exposed…

When you can’t control you die – your flesh does…

When you can’t do anything to make something happen you die…

When you can’t do anything to make yourself understood you die…

When you can’t communicate you die…

You see in yourself a desire to do all these things – you know it is wrong – and you die…

Somehow the Lord “holds” you and you see yourself “going through” this pain and yet you can’t “take your life back” it is too late – you’ve already surrendered and it’s like you’re watching yourself go through rigor mortis as you feel the pain but don’t want to “go back” but at the same time can’t “go forward” – you are “trapped” in the process…

And yet you know God is carrying you…

I had “one of those weekends” (a long weekend over here in New Zealand) where the Lord was taking me “through” something and I had no control and couldn’t handle waiting…

I was eating a lot for no apparent reason…

Usually when I’m under stress I don’t eat (it’s been that way at work) but usually when there are unknowns or uncertainties or just things which I have no control over and I feel “helpless” – a complete loss of control – it is at those times that I eat for no particular reason…

I have no control over that either – I’m just “letting it happen” and letting the Lord “take it”…

Abraham “took matters into his own hands” with Hagar…

David “waited” with Saul – he knew that he was the Lord’s Anointed even though Saul was still the Lord’s Anointed (in position) although the favour of the Lord had already “shifted” to David – the Anointing Oil was on him – but he waited until the Lord’s timing…

God blessed them both but we all know that David delighted the Lord’s Heart with his submission in this instance just as Abraham did later on with “letting go” of his “promised” son…

We each learn from everything we go through – we just have to relax and be “real” with the Lord and everyone else about how “weak” we are in our flesh and just wait for the Lord to “come through”…

When the Lord spoke His word to you did it come with fear? No, it didn’t, did it…

That is your assurance that it will surely come to pass…

Did it come as a condition? Was it conditional? Was it dependent upon your performance? No, it wasn’t, was it…

That is your assurance that it will truly come to pass…
