Unconditional Love…

I really feel that the Lord wants me to share on unconditional love…

His Love…

His Love is unconditional…

Whether it is received or whether it is not received His Love is unconditional…

We really need to see this…

We cannot withhold love…

It doesn’t matter who has done what to us – we cannot withhold love…

To withhold love is to withhold God…

Jesus Himself when confronted by Satan in Judas said to both, “Friend, what you do, do it quickly”…

Jesus’ attitude was one of love…

This protected His Heart from bitterness…

I have experienced this…

Even towards the devil I have experienced the compassion of God…

The Lord loves all He has created…

He is their Creator…

One side of His Character does not annul the other…

Yes, God will send the devil and his demons to the lake of fire and brimstone…

They will suffer His Wrath for all eternity – constantly…

No remission…

As will all who do not receive Jesus Christ as Lord – believing in Him to forgive them from their sins and handing their lives – their very beings over to Him…

But even for all eternity as these ones suffer in the lake of fire and brimstone – God will love them and feel compassion towards them – He will have sorrow in His Heart – I know this – I have experienced this…

Do you see the dual nature of God?

He is Perfect Love and He is Perfect Holiness – He is Perfect Righteousness – and the Blood is the only covering – propitiation (the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom) – for sin…

When someone does something to us that we don’t like – we harden our hearts against them – we do – we do it all the time – we fight back or we defend ourselves or we say something nasty back about them – all of these things are coming from a place of hurt and not of unconditional love…

When we see this in ourselves we see that we have not had the Love of God – His Unconditional Love – Perfected in us in that particular area and we are led by the Holy Spirit – as I have just been this morning – to “give back” our conditional love to God for Him to “give us” His Unconditional Love…

This issue is most acutely highlighted in our families…

We can’t “run away” from our families or from our family commitments…

If we have a member of our family who is suffering under a spirit of rejection then they will resist the Love of God…

That’s what the spirit of rejection does…

It resists the Unconditional Love of God…

It won’t believe that it exists…

So it tests it…

It does whatever – and I mean whatever – it can to disprove the existence – the practical existence – of the Unconditional Love of God – for that discredits God and it means that that person can continue – with no guilty conscience – to live in their prison of unbelief regarding the existence of the Unconditional Love of God because (their excuse is) “no one has modelled this for me – I’ve never seen it in reality”…

God is calling us – those who know Him – to model this – Unconditional Love – in reality – in our marriages, in our families, in our workplaces and in the world at large…

As we do there will be an explosion in the Knowledge – the Practical Knowledge – of God in all those around us…

This is what Jesus talked of in John 17 where He said that our Unity – our sharing of His Unconditional Love with each other – as those of us who know Him – with each other in close, physical, local proximity with each other, with the world watching on – would convince the world of the reality that Jesus Christ – in so many words – was God – sent by God and was the Saviour of the world…

The reality is being able to respond – from the heart (effortlessly) in Unconditional Love – to an unprovoked attack from the enemy through another person…

There’s nothing “in this” for us – think about your marriage, think about your children, think about your workmates, think about your fellow local congregation members – they all do things which hurt you – do you withdraw? do you distance yourself? do you get a new job? do you leave your local fellowship (using whatever excuse comes to mind – yes, I know that God does call us to leave our local fellowships at times – this has happened to me – but I know I’ve left a number for the wrong reasons also 🙂 ) – but there definitely is something “in this” for us – to see the miracle of God’s Unconditional Love working through us and His Love is better than life…

Experiencing His Unconditional Love coursing through us is better than life…

Think about that…

Think of all the times you’ve sat in your marriage or in your family or in your job or in your local fellowship and you’ve been “bored stiff” or hoping that “such and such” won’t approach you because you “hate” such and such because they “push your buttons” or “don’t listen to what you say” or “don’t validate your feelings” or just “don’t get you” or “whatever”…

I’ve been there…

Many times…

Imagine now that for every one of these challenges the Holy Spirit (God) in you has a solution…

His Unconditional Love…

You don’t know exactly what it is that will “crack open” that individual to God’s Love – but He does – and He lives inside you…

And He (the Holy Spirit) wants – as one brother at our local congregation has been saying – to “come out”… 🙂

He (the Holy Spirit) wants to come out to “break our walls down” as the song says from the “inside out” – to reveal Himself to the world…

To show the world the power of the unity of the Church – brothers and sisters living in close fellowship with each other which the world just doesn’t have – living in such close fellowship with each other that they don’t consider anything they possess to be their own – they are trusting each other – even with their very lives – because they see that this is the Love of God…

Can you see it?

I can see it…

It is a Love Revolution…

To borrow a phrase… 🙂

A true Love Revolution…

Perfect Love casts out fear (rejection) and Perfect Love never fails (or falls down)…

It never stumbles – he who loves his brother has nothing in him to cause him to stumble…

You can see where this is going – Unconditional Love will lay down its life unto death for those around it to see it’s reality…

Stephen comes to mind, Jesus comes to mind, Paul comes to mind, all the Apostles come to mind…

Only God can do this – but God lives inside of each and every one of His own…

There is no excuse…

Let Him out…

Lose your life…

Gain it…

A quality of life – no matter how short in the physical – where you experience the Unconditional Love of God pouring out of you to the unlovely – to those who have “not a good thing to say” about you… 🙂

To those prickly, condemning, accusing ones… 🙂

To those who try continually to “put you down”, “put you in your place”, “sit down young man”, “I’m the boss, you do as I say”…

All these personalities which we struggle with on a daily basis can be overcome with God’s Unconditional Love – we are not (no longer) trying to make our lives easier by solving the problem for ourselves so our “wall” of “self protection” can be “un-attacked” anymore but we are genuinely wanting to make a difference in their lives and excited (well as much as humanly possible 🙂 ) to make a difference in their lives – whether they receive this love or not…

That is not the issue – we desire them all to receive it – whether they do receive it is not our problem (not our responsibility – unless God specifically lays that on us in intercession)…

That is God’s problem (unless He entrusts that to us as an assignment in intercession – we will know if that has occurred – there won’t be any doubts about that – I assure you, you will know if He puts a burden on you cos you won’t be able to “get rid of it” – and you will try I assure you because it is uncomfortable at the beginning – I have experienced this – our selfishness resists this – but He doesn’t give up when He gives us a burden – I am laughing on the inside)… 🙂

Our job is to love – to release and share God’s Love with them…

Their response (ultimately – even after our intercession)  is between them and God for all eternity…

Love to you all,

Andrew

About andrew james horton

Hi, my name is Andrew James Horton... I am a Kiwi (New Zealander), born in Christchurch (05 September 1971), now in my early fifties... I am blessed to be married with five children and six grandchildren... :-) I am at present a Principal Structural Engineer, Director living in Christchurch, New Zealand... I am passionate about prophetic intercession and about revival both in New Zealand and throughout the world... I am passionate to pray that the Church, the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, will be all that He - the Lord Jesus Christ - desires her to be in our generation... Back in early September 2010 I felt that the Lord gave me the name of this blog site, "a house of prayer for the nations - prophetic intercession for worldwide revival" and wanted me to "put it out there" and start recording the prayers which were on my heart to pray in the hope that others would also be encouraged to share the prayers which were on their hearts to pray and that in the unity of the Spirit we could participate together in this activity in different locations around the world as He led us... If the Lord leads you, let's join together in prayer for the Lord's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven in our generation... Love to All, Andrew
