I suppose they all are… 🙂

Anyway, the Lord has really spoken to me about the Purpose of God and I feel to share some of the things which He has revealed to me…

The Purpose of God Stands Forever…

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. (Psalm 33:11 KJV)

And they cannot be thwarted…

“I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted. (Job 42:2 NASB)

God has a Purpose for every single one of His Creatures…

His Desire for all human beings is that they would all come to a saving knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ…

But He also has a Purpose for every human being on the planet…

My definition of Purpose in this post is “God’s Bottom Line”…

There is God’s Desire which I’m defining in this post as “God’s Top Line” and there is God’s Purpose which I’m defining in this post as “God’s Bottom Line”… 🙂

On the “Top Line” God desires everyone to be saved, He died for all, all died, His Blood was shed for all, all the sins of the world have been paid for, propitiated for…

Even after all that no one reaches out to God, no one rouses themselves to seek after God, no one repents, no one believes, no one pleases God…

That’s not God’s Problem – He provided a solution to the problem of sin – man needs to avail himself of it…

But does man?

No he does not…

And without faith it is impossible to please God…

And those who are in the flesh cannot please God…

So, on the “Bottom Line”, God has decided to save some (He could have decided to save none or all but He decided to save some – we call this God’s Sovereign Choice)…

These – ones that He decided to save – are called “His Elect”…

They come from all walks of life, they are all ages, they are all races, they are male and female and what they all have in common is that God has given them a new heart, a new spirit, a righteous soul, the gift of faith, the gift of repentance, the Holy Spirit living within them and all the blessings of heaven – everything they need for life and godliness (including their gifts and calling – which are without repentance, i.e. once given God never takes them back)… 🙂

God had nothing to do with sin entering the world, that was man’s decision…

God had nothing to do with Lucifer falling, that was his decision…

God had nothing to do with one third of the angels deciding to follow Lucifer in rebellion, that was their decision…

But we do read – “Bottom Line” – that those who remained faithful to the Lord, the faithful angels – are referred to in scripture as “the Elect angels”…

So God’s Desire for all the angels was that they’d remain faithful to Him – He allowed Lucifer and the third to rebel but He protected the remaining two thirds ensuring that they wouldn’t rebel…

Now if I was in the remaining two thirds I’d be going, “Whew, I’m so glad I’m an Elect angel, think of what my life would have been like if I wasn’t”…

I think it would be enough to make me want to worship God all day for eternity just knowing that I was an Elect angel – if I were one… 🙂

So we see that God is in Perfect Control…

He remains Loving to all…

Perfectly Loving…

He gives freedom to some to choose their destiny…

Which ends for them in the lake of fire and brimstone due to no fault of the Lord – He doesn’t Desire that for them and died so that they wouldn’t need to go there if only they’d get themselves a new heart, a new spirit, a righteous soul, repentance and faith so they could be given the Holy Spirit, every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies and everything they need for life and godliness…

To others – through giving them a new heart, a new spirit, a righteous soul, the gift of repentance and the gift of faith – He enables them to freely choose their destiny – Eternity with Him in the Glory of His Presence forever…

He made this choice before the Foundation of the World…

Knowing what Adam would do with the freedom given him the Lord still gave him that freedom – Adam and his wife Eve chose for us all in that garden on that day – they did what each of us would have done – there was no fault in this from God…

The Foreknowledge of God with respect to Predestination is in respect to the Special Expression of Love – the Electing Love – which God had with His Elect in Eternity Past – He has always Loved us – with an Everlasting Love – and no matter what we did He had already decided to save us and bring us safely to His heaven – this is the Electing Love of God…

If you are a Saint of God and you’ve just read that and the Holy Spirit has given you revelation of what it means you will be balling your eyes out right now…

And your life will never be the same – sin will just fall off you – as that truth grips your heart – you will feel so special, so incredibly special to your Creator…

If you’re reading this and it is making you angry, your pride is speaking to you…

Your pride that you thought you saved yourself…

God resists the proud but gives Grace to the humble…

So we see that both angels are Elect and humans also are Elect…

Those who are not Elect – both fallen angels and fallen humans – will end up in the lake of fire and brimstone through no fault of God and through their own rebellion and pride and refusal to trust and submit to the Desire of God for their lives…

“Double Predestination” (as it is termed by some) is an abomination to God…

God didn’t predestine some to be born to go to hell…

They are vessels of wrath prepared for destruction because their own rebellion and lack of trust in God prepared them for destruction…

We are vessels of mercy which He prepared beforehand for Glory – catch the difference?

Vessels of wrath – prepared for destruction…

Vessels of mercy – He prepared beforehand for Glory…

I can be kind and loving to all that God has made…

I know that God Loves them all equally – He has shown me this and made me to experience it (just recently)…

I Love everyone…

I Desire everyone to be saved…

I do not Know everyone the same…

I do not have the same Level of Relationship with everyone either…

God’s Love to His Elect and to the “non-Elect” is exactly the same…

He Loves them the same…

I have experienced this and He has told me that this is true…

I am no different from anyone else…

But, He chose me…

He lavished His Love on me to the fullest possible extent so that I know it intimately – so that I can know it experientially…

I have a personal Relationship with His Love like I have never had before – and it is growing (day by day) – and it will continue growing for all eternity – Praise His Wonderful Name…

I am blessed and experiencing the blessing…

The Presence of God is all over my life…

Praise His Wonderful Name…

This is His Purpose for me…

He has told me this…

This has nothing to do with me…

It is His Purpose and He has a Purpose for it…

That I will fulfil the Good Works which He prepared beforehand for me to walk in…

Once all these Good Works are fulfilled He will take me home…

End of story…

All the days ordained for me were written in His Book before one of them came to be…

David fulfilled God’s Purpose for his generation…

Amazing to consider that – scripture tells us this in Acts through Stephen…

Think about all the things which David did but David fulfilled God’s Purpose – God’s “Bottom Line” for his generation – and God called him a man after God’s own Heart…

Amazing…

We take ourselves too seriously… 🙂

Yes, I know someone could be “all over me” for saying that – and yes, I know there is balance in scripture but sometimes it does us good to see things from God’s Perspective – He knows that we are dust – He is mindful of our frame – He has a Purpose for our lives…

Can we “miss” His Purpose – His “Bottom Line” for our lives?

No we can not…

Can we – as His Elect – “miss” His Desire for our lives – to live as fully surrendered to Him as possible?

That is a very interesting question (which I am purposefully not going to answer)… 🙂

I remain content that He will fulfil His Purpose for me, Your Love O Lord endures forever do not abandon the works of Your Hands – as David says in the Psalms (or words to that affect)…

His Love and knowing that He will fulfil His Purpose for me is enough for me…

Anything more than that would be – and create – striving in me – and God has called me to rest…

Do you see what I am saying?

Does it give you a sense of Peace?

It should – if you are surrendered to the Lord in the sense of leaning on His imputed righteousness and not trying to create a righteousness of your own…

I love you all – may we – His Elect – all grow to be more like Him in every way…

Praise His Wonderful Name…
