I was speaking with my three youngest children on the way to our local congregation this morning – I don’t know why I started talking about this, it must have been the Holy Spirit – but I started to say to them, “Do you know what Jealousy is?”…
And they said, “Yes” and I said, “But do you really know what it is?” and they (I think it was the boys) still said, “Yes” but Hannah-Grace knew that I was onto something but the boys still said, “Yes” and then I said to them (or words to that effect), “The Lord is Jealous for those who belong to Him”…
“The Lord looks at the things which hang around on those who belong to Him – ‘sin within them’ and anything else (I didn’t specifically mention demons) – and He is patient, He watches and He is patient but it gets to a point where He can’t handle it anymore and He arises over them and He Roars – not in anger at them (cos they’re a new creation) but at all those things which are holding them bound”…
“And when He roars those things flee”…
“And they don’t come back”…
I then shared with them some scriptures, “the whole earth will be consumed with the Fire of My Jealousy” (think about what that means and God will give you insight) and also “a fire goes before Him and burns up all His enemies round about” (powerful verse) and also shared with them how the Lord stands over us in the midst like a Victorious Warrior…
At the end of last year I was watching a Jerusalem Arise Worship DVD and the song, “When we worship the Lion of Judah Roars” came on…
God gave me a powerful revelation as that song played – I’d listened to it many times before but never saw that before – that what happened when the Lion of Judah roared was that He was roaring in our protection to remove from us all that was damaging to us…
This morning – out of my own mouth to my younger children – comes the revelation of the Jealousy of God towards us – we are His possession – He owns us – we have been bought with His Own Blood – so He owns us and is Jealous over us for our own good…
He hates evil and what it does to us…
That is what happens when we yield to the Holy Spirit and don’t try and “repress” “sin within me” – I found myself speaking after the meeting to the sermon bringer about something he’d shared and I said, “when I don’t try and stop myself sinning what I have is that the Holy Spirit rises up inside me and shuts that sin down as it says in Galatians” – and I see now that this is another aspect of God’s Jealousy – there’s a verse in James (James 4:5 KJV) to that end…
God’s Jealousy is powerful and protective…
So different from what we’re used to in our own experience…
Our younger children agreed with me that they didn’t know that that was the definition of Jealousy…
The Lord defined Himself as a Jealous God, whose Name is Jealous – wow…
What a Powerful Protector…
As Aslan roared in “the Lion, the witch and the wardrobe”, so our Lord roars over us…
Let Him Roar over us…
Roar over us Lord and remove everything from us which is harmful to us, everything from us which is not in accordance with Your will for us – which is perfect – Your will for us – and good and well-pleasing…
Thank You that You want the best for us and that as we surrender to Your Voice – as long as it is Your Voice – Your Joy will come in the surrender…
Cos we are believing that all things work together for good…

Praise the Lord, it kind of goes with that word your sister Sarah shared doesn’t it Ruth? But her word was on a larger scale – this word was very personal – on an individual basis… Beautiful how the Lord can see all things and work all things into His Purpose – large scale and small scale all at the same time – How Great is Our God (that Chris Tomlin song)… 🙂
Woke up this morning with the Lord’s Jealousy on my heart again and came to check what I’d shared previously on this – not much to add really except that I see clearer now that He is taking this very seriously within us – to the point of removing us from this earth if we are just not able to ‘see it’ and surrender ourselves to him – if those ‘things’ inside us are just ‘too strong’ and we just can’t ‘get free’ then the ultimate Jealousy which God will demonstrate will be to remove us from this earth – the Holy Spirit to leave our body taking our new creation with Him and presenting us faultless before Jesus – this is the ultimate way in which the Jealousy of God will be revealed over us – to make us know wisdom in the innermost being as it were He will take us into the Very Presence of God forever where we will never doubt His Love and His Kindness again – where we will never be able to rebel again or reject Him again or refuse to receive His Love again – where we will know fully even as we are fully known and will be completely satisfied with Him in His Presence – His Presence will be all that we will need and we will enjoy Him and His angels and His People – His Saints in Glory – and serve Him day and night – time without end – His Jealousy is Protective over us and the result of His Jealousy is our Experience – Personal, Practical Experience – of His Eternal Life – Jesus Christ Himself…
We are given to Him as His Bride…
Worthy, You are Worthy Lord Jesus and I worship You – I welcome Your Jealous Presence all around me, all around my family, my wife, my five children, my four grandsons, my one granddaughter on the way, my son in law to be – I welcome your presence around the father of one of my grandsons – come Lord Jesus and make us one – take Your Place – be Jealous over us – and over Your entire Church in Your time – Worship You Jesus – Release Your Anointing – in Jesus Mighty Name, Worship You Lord, Amen and Amen
