My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. (Psalm 62:1 NASB)
I have been blessed by what a sister from the North Island has been sharing with me about waiting in silence before the Lord…
I have committed to live the rest of my life in this silence…
It is a silence of spirit, it is a silence of heart – an inner silence…
An inner quietness…
An inner rest…
The Lord gave me this scripture recently,
There will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God, And to You the vow will be performed. O You who hear prayer, To You all men come. (Psalm 65:1-2 NASB)
And yesterday He gave me this scripture,
Who, then, is the man that fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. (Psalm 25:12 NIV)
Another scripture was brought back to mind this morning,
Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. (Proverbs 8:34 NIV)
I had a very encouraging conversation with a brother from the North Island last night…
We discussed what the sister from the North Island had shared and he felt a real witness for what she was sharing…
This morning as I started my day (so to speak) I waited quietly on the Lord…
He will establish this in me, in us – individually – first…
Then He will bring together those of us who He has established this in – first locally and then nationally…
As the sister saw…
I know that He will do this…
This is the place from which He can speak…
He will establish it in His time…
Love in the Lord,
Andrew
