I’ve been thinking about backlash for awhile also…
I think a friend first mentioned it to me around 11 or 12 years ago and it made sense to me at the time…
I suppose for me I’ve seen that when I’ve posted some things either on this blogsite or another that I used to comment on that I’ve definitely had this “spiritual backlash” come out “nowhere” and “attack” me…
I had an “attack” last night…
I had just been spending a very profitable time with the Lord, He’d been revealing that verse to me, “He gives His Spirit without measure” which Spurgeon preached on – I was looking at a quote from Spurgeon in someone else’s sermon and the Holy Spirit really “illuminated” that word to me…
As I went into prayer with the Lord I realised that He was giving me faith to believe this for my life…
As I knelt and waited in my closet I suddenly felt the word which He gave me for Christchurch last year, “Will you wait in silence before Me?” coming strongly to my heart and mind and I was able to receive it…
I hadn’t been able to receive it until then…
I wept on the inside…
I knew that this was significant for this city…
And then I saw something with my wife and children and grandchildren – I saw us in unity…
I saw it so clearly and I knew that it would happen…
It was very powerful…
He was also bringing that that other word which He’d given me, “It is time to seek the Lord until He comes and rains down righteousness upon you”…
It was all starting to “reinforce itself” plus another word which He gave me at Manila Airport one time just before He brought a brother from Norway who was travelling in healing evangelism to come and sit beside me…
I saw things, I prayed things, I knew that certain things would happen, it was all very powerful…
I went to bed and looked up Luke 11:
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” (Luke 11:9-13 NASB)
This is where I got “interrupted”…
I didn’t know what to make of the “interruption” at first but as time progressed I could see the spirit behind it was trying to “suck” all the “life” out of the time which I’d just been spending with the Lord and I saw it – this morning – as a direct attack on what I’d shared yesterday regarding deliverance…
The devil is great at reminding us of what we “used to be”, trying to make us think we are “still that” and give us the idea that we can’t “rise up” and “stand up” and be counted and assert our authority in the Lord because of “past mistakes” in our (old) life…
In the life of our old self…
He likes to try and “pin us down” with sin which we’ve committed in the past or even subtle “suggestions” which he’s put into our minds and try to “squash us” or “condemn us” with things which the Lord does not condemn us – I notice whenever I begin to “assert” myself in the Lord the Jezebel spirit doesn’t like it and trys to “put me back in my place”…
There truly is only one Godly Authority – and that is the Lord and the Godly Order which He set up…
No other order works and when questioned or “attacked” fights back with all its worth…
The devil hates us exercising Godly Authority…
Things go “well” for us unless we “upset” that “applecart”…
Well, I’m going to upset it…
Praise God…
I defy the devil in the sense that I say, in the Holy Spirit, I will not bow down to you Satan, I will not bow down to your intimidation of me…
If I fall then the Lord will pick me up…
I will not bow down to your intimidation…
I am not your “puppet” any more and you will not use me…
You will not condemn me…
I am not guilty of sin…
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus and I do not sin…
I cannot sin because I have been born of God…
O yes, my old self sins but that is not me…
You have nothing on me…

And you know it…
I speak the Blood of Jesus Christ all over your face…

I am standing up against you in the spirit (the spiritual realm) in the Mighty Name of Jesus – not in my own name – and I am commanding you to let go of our family in every way that you have chained us and restricted us and intimidated us, in the Mighty Name of Jesus…

You know that that is the only interpretation of that scripture in the Greek which “makes sense” – you know that my new self was created in all holiness and righteousness of the truth and you know that I can’t sin…
I am not what I used to be when you owned me…
I am a new creation – old things are gone – behold all things have been made new…
I – the old I – do not exist…
Go into the throne room of God and bring your condemnation against me…

No matter who you employ to try and bring me into condemnation – they are doomed to failure…
They will not succeed because God is with me…
Not only is He with me but with all those who call on His Name with a Pure Heart…
And that is what they have – every single one of them – a Pure Heart…
Because He lives in them – He lives in them – He who has a Pure Heart, the Purest Heart, the only Pure Heart – He lives in them and He lives in me – apart from that the new heart which they and I have received is also pure…

I see this clearly…

All these will know You, they will all know You and they will know You to the level which You have predestined for them – before they go to be with You in Glory they will each know You to the level which You have predestined for them and there is not a demon or the devil himself who can stop them achieving that level of their Knowledge of You which You have predestined for them…
I saw Job, who You allowed the devil to have a good go at – but the strength of Your Promise – the strength that Job could really depend on was that You would not allow the devil to triumph – Job probably didn’t know that until afterwards, until You explained to him exactly what You’d allowed to “play out” but he understood after that and knew that he was safe in Your Hands…
The devil could never have destroyed Job’s faith because the Lord would protect His Own Honour that He was stronger than the devil and that He was capable to protect a small, defenceless human being and make sure that his faith didn’t crumble against insurmountable odds in the natural scale of things…
This is what I’ve seen tonight…

Sure I might come against all manner of satanic opposition – I might nearly “go crazy” as it all “bombards” my mind but He will not allow me to “go down” because He will defend His Own Honour – Hallelujah Jesus!!!
O that brings great delight to my soul tonight, great delight, I am not going to “go down” because the Lord will not allow me to…
I might get “all shaken up” like Job did and say some “nasty things” about the Lord along the way but I will not “go down” and I will endure because He will make me endure…
Praise You Jesus – I wish I could describe the joy I feel as I type – He will defend His Own Honour – No one is stronger than Him and His Name is the Lord – the Maker of Heaven and Earth and He is on my side, He is my Coach, my Trainer in the boxing ring and He will never let my opposition knock me out…

And my wife and children and grandchildren and their partners (and partners to be) are covered in the Blood of Jesus because He has promised me that they will all know Him – Hallelujah!!!
They will all know Him and we are all new creations in His Sight, this is the way He sees us – our entire family – as new creations in His Sight, so our sin is covered and the cloak of the Blood of Jesus is hanging down over us in the spirit (the spiritual realm) and he – the devil – cannot get access because we are under the Blood…
